UPDATE on Paralyzed Koi by
Michael Grossman
I just wanted to update everyone on the Koi I wrote in about 5 or 6 weeks
ago that had suddenly been paralyzed. He was motionless at the bottom of
the pond. He only had use of his pectoral fins and nothing else. We moved
him to a small preformed pond and had to hand feed him for the first...

Well I did it by
FBCS
I fell in my pond head first. After losing two quarantined fish from the
show I figured I would check my pond out. I have had such a problem with the
water, it looks like the Potomac River (not blue). I vacuumed and tried to
remove a few lg rocks stepped down on the ledge and that was all she...

Raccoon Repellent by
bobkiely
I thought about that - in fact I was almost out the door to buy a dozen of
them when I realized that even though I haven't see froggy for about 6 weeks
now, being he was my favorite creature in the pond, I'd hate to find him
stuck in a mouse trap. That's when I came up (with what someone named)...

feeding question by
Deswinds
Can someone tell me what to do? or how to go about encouraging my fish to
come to the surface to feed? Right now they wait for the "floating" pellets
to sink to the bottom before they'll eat.
I know, this is hardly a concern, generally, but my grandkids don't quite
understand why they won't come...

What do you put in a return stream? by
K30a
I would put in rock.
We have rocks in our wide waterfall.
Just have a plan about cleaning.
Watercress grows in our waterfall and is very easy to rip out. Lots of debris
caught in the roots
comes with it. Some rocks too - those are replaced.

Croaker Question by
Robert Ramirez
Up until a few days ago my tadpoles transformed into green croaker frogs. My
question is quite simple how does one shut them up at night? Or an even
better question is how does one catch the little guys?
Thanks

Salt? by

I know this has been asked before but I'm going to ask again. Do I have to

OT band groupie labradors and their band OT by
K30a
Youngest son, the dyslexic webmaster, put a picture of eldest son's band on the
bottom of the labradors' webpage. The picture is blurry on my monitor. He also
put in a link to the webpage he built for the band. Warning - band page is
heavy on graphics and do-dahs. Black background, coloured print,...

K30: Dwarf Frog Dead?? by

Hi K30 and other African dwarf frogs owners,
Sort of OT here but I've got a situation with one of my dwarf frogs and
wanted to ask you a question as I remember you have/had these critters too.
One of mine is +/-3yrs old. Yesterday he started wanting to be at top of
tank, hanging onto the filter,...

Need help in locating and removal of snake - species unknown by
Fernlady1559
This snake needs to be relocated. It slitered into washout by the side of
small preformed pond, moving fast, dislocating rocks as it went. Need
advise on how to bring out in open so I can net it and relocate and/or
kill it.

Koi missing Pectoral fin! by
Bob in PA
Perhaps it could have been torn on a submerged rock, or maybe it was a bird
or racoon that you didn't see.

Just like to point out that this is two differant Bobs. I'm in S.E. Pa,
and he is in NY.

how NOT to plant lilies by
*muffin*
I read this *wonderful* idea of how to plant lilies...
it said use a basket (like a clothes one with holes) line it with burlap,, &
plant the lily... it said it would give more 'air' to the roots & soil, so
you wouldn't get that yucky black smelly planting mix..
wellllllllllll.
seemed good...

Dying Fish by
David Hahn
I have noticed a lot of posts lately about fish dying. At the time I did not
read in that I didn't have that problem. Well....I have lost 5 fish in the
last 2 days. We have had an excessive amount of rain in the last week (6"+)
and haven't seen the sun in about 10 days. I tested the water and...
