DIY Fake Rocks by
stricks760
Hi -
Still pondering about my waterfall. (1) Anyone with experience making fake
rocks? I've got a book or two, is it as easy as they make it sound? (2)
I've read about chicken wire and concrete approach, and the expanding foam
approach. Any comments? (3) Doing ANYTHING involving chicken wire...

Shareholders Pond, Spreading Like a Disease by
BenignVanilla
I have passed a new milestone in my pondigy. My neighbor's kid was a Bio
major for a few years, and quite the aquarium specialist. He has some of the
most amazing aquariums I have ever seen. He put a pond in his parents yard
last year, and this year, his mechanical filter has not been able to...

Plecostomus. It is a tropical catfish that some people put in the ponds to
eat algae off the side of the pond.

feeding koi by
*muffin*
I am sure this has been talked to death, but I don't recall , in my few
months here, that this came up.
I just dug up some older issues of 'koiworld' and read a few articles, on
feeding.
one said you MUST soak feed given to koi(either sticks or the round stuff)
for 10 minutes, since their...

Poolout, pondin by

Folklore
This morning I noticed a mass of eggs along the top of one of my lilly
pads. Not sure if they're fish, frog, etc. Any help appreciated.
The eggs are black or dark grey in color and all are in a clear gel.
I'd guess there are maybe 200 eggs total.
Pond is about 500 gallon and has 2 goldfish...

Home Improvement Store Kits -vs- Water Garden Specialist Kits by

I am very very tempted to put a pond in my backyard for a variety of

questions, questions, questions... by
GaneaRowenna
I have several questions.
1. I have heard mention that I can "google up" past posts. How would I do
this?
2. I have tree roots coming thru my liner. The pond doesn't seem to be losing
water. Is it safe to wait for fall cleanup to repair this, or should I go
ahead and drain and fix? The area...

Pool filter for ponds by
Mikey I
I have a fairly new sand filter that was to be used for a pool.
Installed a pond instead. The sand medium is too fine to use as a pond
filter. It cloggs very fast. Can anyone tell me or direct me as to
what medium could be used? Thanks
