Pump to run fountain by
Scott Teetsel
I currently have a small pump that is circulating my water just right. I
want to add a fountain and can attach it to the pump, but that slows the
other flow. So, should I get a larger pump, or should I have a small pump
dedicated just the fountain? I don't want to have to keep adjusting...

Mosquito Larva? by
Scott Teetsel
No, they stay submerged, resting on my plant pot or something else. I did
not seem them surface at all.
I am guessing the barrel is around 20 gallons or so.

Joe / Barbara: What is that gorgeous, huge white lily on the left side
of the pond? Is that a hardy or tropical? The bloom looks like it's 6-8
inches across, but I'm just...

Sand as foundation? by
Wilson
My neighbor came over recently and admired my new waterfall and future plans
for a pond, it seems he has caught the fever and wants one too....he asked
me if he could use sand instead of dirt to build the foundation of his
waterfall(approx. 3-3 1/2 feet high). I have no idea....would it...

Pond Newbie by
Jacquard_The_Ripper

I'm new here and thought I should introduce myself. My husband and I
are getting ready to overhaul our backyard, and he really wants a
pond. That's okay with me, so I'd like to hear from any of you that
would like to offer advice to a beginner in Zone 3. We're pretty
handy and avid...

Sick Comets by
J. Lamont
Last evening 3 of our 6 Comets were floating just below the surface of the
water, not much movement just floating. Now one more is in doing the same
thing. I tried to feed them but they had no interest in food.
We checked the Ph, ammonia & nitrate levels, all were in the normal range.
The pond is...

Dragon Flies by
bobkiely
While I was out looking at my greening lily leaves, one of my favorite
creatures came flying by and landed on the cattail fronds. This is a
magnificent specimen as his body is about 1/2" wide and about 3" long and is
the brightest organgish-red you can imagine. He looks like he just came from
the...

hmmm. I'd let him be.
And, being soft hearted, I'd buy a bunch of
