I have a small (150 gallon) pond that has a serious tadpole problem.
Is there a way to control them?

natural vs. chemical by
tenacity
So, it's a culture thing.
I live in Phoenix, AZ. So where most of y'all have to contend with
freezing winters, we have 110 degree summers.
What I've got:
homemade pond, rectangle, liner, half in and half above ground
two feet deep, 6x8 ft
700 gallons

rigid ponds - opinions please by
seneca
I'm looking to get a rigid pond to replace the torn liner that's
currently leaking in the back garden. Are rigid liners any good?
There's a plastic one that I've spotted that has the right dimensions
to fit the hole I have, it's the BLAGDON DAMSEL FLY 1250 LITRES. Any
opinions on it?
Also if a...

Aphids on Lily leaves by
Jerry Jackson
I asked the people at Water Garden Gems in San Antonio about a means for
controlling Aphids on Lily leaves. Here is their response:
Good afternoon,
Aphid's can be controlled by using Safer Soap and spraying the pads. Be
careful not to do it in the middle of the day, try to do it in the...

Winterizing tropical water plants by
CanadianCowboy©
I know it is too early to be thinking of this but this will help me on
how much to invest in tropical plants vs hardy lilies for this year.
Can these tropical plants such as water lettuce, hyacinth, etc be
brought inside
and put in large buckets with artificial
lighting and expect them to live...

UK pond problem by
Dave
We recently moved into this house and "inherited" what could be a nice
little pond. Trouble is, the previous owner hasn't cleaned it out or done
anything to it since about July last year and it's a right mess of dead
plants and blanketweed, but also now getting new growth on plants as well.
It...

sick/injured fish by
JLA
I have a fish (5 yr & 9" subunkin) that got trapped in the skimmer, I
released it and it seemed to recover, but today I noticed that it is now
growing a white fungus like material at the places where it was injured.
Suggested treatment please.

Cal Pump UV Clarifier died by

I bought a 36 watt Cal Pump UV Clarifier 8 days ago for my pea soup
green pond and yesterday I finally noticed that it was actually
working. Today the water was really starting to clear up, and then the
clarifier decided to die on me.
This is not a submersible device, but it is supposed to be able...

Lilies for postage by

Ok Folks,
I have about 30 or 40 cuttings of various lilies. Most are probably
light yellow. They had been growing for about two years now without
dividing, because of my recovery from surgery, so this year they have
been finally divided and I will sell them for postage like I have in
the past. ...

I potted up the lotus after they had sat for 5 days in clean water.
Did you know that is the recommended thing for lotus divides? I've planted

soaking. By the time I replanted mine, I only had tubers for 2 others
containers to...

While the liner is pulled aside I decided to reshape the pond a little,
making it deeper but with a smaller circumference. The shelves that were
