Repairing butyl rubber pond liner by Owdboggy

Hi, I excavated a 5 x 3m pond last April, lined it and filled it, bought masses of oxygenating plants and potted up some pond plants but now one year on, despite clearing all debris in the autumn and again this week, the water is brown, stagnant and all but a handful of oxygenators are dead. I...

Pond leaking by Paul Davis
Hi, live Jersey. I have a 12x7x28" deep pond liner type. All was fine till the beginning of Dec. then started to leak. Is there any trick or something to look for to tell where the leak is. I can't understand how all the sudden it leaks out. I know it is on the bottom somewhere. Thanks

Is fluorite ok for my pond? by Chris[_3_]
Someone gave me a bunch of fluorite from their old aquarium and I was wondering if I could use it as a substrate for my pond along with river rock? Seems its used a lot for planted aquariums so I think it should be ok in my pond which just has goldfish and koi in it. Cheers, Chris
