Why is my neighbors pond so perfectly clear. by DD DDD
I have a 300 gallon preform. My neighbor has a 200 gallon preform. I do have bio.mech filter and all she has is a simple pump with a canister and one fine sponge in it. No bio balls, no course filter or medium, just one fine filter that is tiny. She said she puts no chemicals in. She has 7 6 inch...

Wow. Just WOW. by Lilly
Since I have neither the time, funds or energy to get a pond up and running anytime in the future, I decided to ask a friend if I could send my fishes out to Summer Camp at his place. He's got the room with 14 ponds, and the goldfish pond is roughly 4,000 gallons. Sent the goldfish to the 4,000 and...

I finally gave up and ordered an UV clarifier. The pond will be covered with an arbor someday but for now it gets too much sun. The algae bloom has been heavy for 5 weeks plus. The very day the UV arrived the algae was gone. Crystal clear to the 3' bottom. I installed it anyway. The algae gods...
