Freakin' UV kight by
robv60
I recently purchased a UV clarifier. My water has been green for about
a month or more now. Hyacintch not really taking off, we are now
getting into 80+ degree weather in GA. My pond gets full sun from about
11AM to about 6PM. Not good, I know. My pond at its fullest is ~1750
gallons. The UV I...

Ping Roy by
Bill Stock
Roy,
I finally put my flowerpot Skippy filter together this weekend. I was a
little concerned, as the spots at the side of the pot where the input and
back-flush bulkheads go are slightly concave. When I tightened up the gasket
on the input bulkhead the rubber ring got twisted severely out of...

Q about galvanized metal pond? by
Sue Solomon
Hi All
I'm about to install a new pond in my front yard. Due to several factors
(limited space, invasive tree roots nearby, neighbor's dogs cavorting in my
existing plastic pond), I've decided to sink an 8' round, 2' deep galvanized
steel stock tank about 12" into the ground for my pond. I plan to...

elephant ear by
G & K Meyer
I put in a number of elephant ear plants a few weeks ago and one is doing
nothing, and the others just have a small sprout like piece coming out the
top. How long do these take to really get going I hoped for some nice shade
for the pond from them.
Thanks for any help.

Pond update - mosquito minnows tame in two days by
mark Bannister
These little guys are a blast. If you put your hand anywhere near the
water they scurry over looking for handouts. They really get frustrated
with water tests, no food but lots of splashing. They were pretty well
tame in a couple of days and taking food from my hand in a week. They
can eat an...

Hello,
I have a relatively new (1 week) pond/water garden that I've got up and
running. It's basically an above ground 3x3x2 box lined with pond
linter. One corner has a shelf with gravel and rocks and a fountain
that spills water out over the rocks. So far we have 3 goldfish and a
variety of...

St Johns Wart Question by
Mud
I pulled up a few plants from the sand at the beach condo last week and
planted it in some sand in a cup. It appeared that some of this same plant
was growing at a distance in some of the stream water on the properties. A
friend tells me that it is St. John's Wart. I'm not sure myself. ...
