something strange by
volux
It happened last night.. my hitchhiker " stomatella " climbed to the
highest point of my tank.
It was excreting something out of its "side antenna". It went on for a bit,
and climbed down.
Then all of a sudden , a cloud of white stuff came from a pile of rocks in
the middle of the tank, behold...

My super sump ;) by
Marc Levenson
Guys, I put together a webpage about the giant sump I put under my 280g
reef. It may provide some answers to questions you had in mind, or
simply give you ideas for your own future sump.

Brian Buffington
Does anyone use washing soda for a buffer? And if so, where did you find
it? I can't find it anywhere.

Timcat
OK...I bought and read the books that were suggested to me in my last post
in July. I have a 90 gal Oceanic reef ready. I'm ready to start buying my
hardware, and I'm having some butterflies. I just ordered my RO/DI unit
about 45 minutes ago from Marc (have you shipped it yet, Marc?) I also have
a...

I am in the process of having a new aquarium and cabinet made for me and I
am in the UK. I have kept marines previously, but went to discus for many

or I need a special pump? What is the proper procedure to make water?

Sebae Problems by
Matt
I think I'm having some serious problems with my Sebae. First off it was
white (and what I thought really pretty) when I got it. It took up
residence, at first, in the back of my tank wedged between a piece of LR and
the back wall. Over the last few weeks, it has meandered around the tank
and...

pink/purple coraline algea question by
BigMike
The back of my tank has a lot of pink/purple coraline algea on it. About 1/3
of the glass is covered. My live rock is well cover as well. My question is
should I leave it on the glass? is this a bad thing to be on the glass? The
looks of it don't bother me, I think it adds to the looks of the the...

Scratches on inside of tank glass by
Paul Aspinall
Hi
I have managed to scratch the inside of my tanks glass, by using some
magnetic glass cleaners.
It seems that there was a piece of the substrate on the magnet inside the
tank, which has scratched the tank....
Is there any way to repair this??
Thanks

Vanuatu - I love it! by
miskairal
Hi all, I just have to tell someone how great our last week has been in
Vanuatu. I've never been diving or snorkelling but in Vanuatu I gave
snorkelling a go and was gob smacked by what I saw only metres off the
beaches. Coral and fish all swimming alongside you with no fear or cares
in the world....

Anyone using Tropic Marin Pro Reef? by
David Hillyard
Does anyone else using Tropic Marin Pro Reef and neat RO find it low in
Calcium? I find readings for calcium at about 350-375 with an SG of 1.024
and would expect it to be higher.

Kent RO unit question by
Mark Cooper
I've gotten a Kent Hi-S RO unit from a buddy who has gotten out of keeping
fish. He said this is a 35 gpd unit, but I'm not so sure of that. It only
takes it about 4 hrs to fill a 13 gallon container, so I wonder if it's not
actually a 60 or 75 gpd unit.
How long does the membrane in this unit...
