Fluval & SCWD by
willis stanley
Hi,
I've been able to find just enough posts to know that this has been
done, but not enough in the way of description: I want to route the
return of a Fluval 304 through a SCWD. The problem is connecting the
Fluval to the SCWD and making that connection sufficiently secure so
that the...

Poly Filters by
John Cassara
Are there any chemical pad type filters such as poly filters that have a
higher water flow capability? The poly filters create too much back pressure
for my gravity feed chemical box. I may try to cut one in half (filet
style). I would like to stay away from filter bags and exchange resins...

Support your LFS or E-tailer? by
Rick
On-line stores are convient for making a purchase if you live in a
rural area and for looking for a low ball price.
I however prefer to support my local retail location as they have
better service and can usually answer questions about the hobby. And
guess what I dont pay more. Next time when you...

Reliable Heater Question by
FornoW
Hello everyone, I have a question about purchasing a reliable heater. I
have seen a few types on the internet that have a "thermostat" to set the
desired temperature for the heater to run at, such as Ebo Jaeger, but was
wondering how reliable these "set it" heaters can be. Does anyone else...

white spot on clown by
Chris Gentry
Hi,
I have a false percula clownfish that I bought about a week ago. It
appears to be doing fine, and is very active, but just after I bought it, I
noticed a large white spot on its side. It looks like a large grain of
sugar. I've watched it really close, and it hasn't seemed to grow, and...

Cerith Snails by
FornoW
I recently purchased two Cerith snails from my LFS and am wondering if
anyone else uses these snails as part of the clean up crew for their tanks.
I have a few questions relating to them and their activities. A few moments
after I put them into the tank (after acclimation), they burrowed into...

Help me identify new item in my tank by
Wayne
I just noticed on one of my rocks a new 'growth'. It just started
growing. Right now, it's a small, thin, white or opaque in color,
growth, about 1/2" in length, with smaller 'branches' starting to form
on it. Can anyone tell me what this might be?
Thanks

CPR BakPak 2R or AquaC Remora by
Brian
I'm replacing my Seaclone 100 and have decided on either the CPR BakPak 2R
or the AquaC Remora. A sump is out of the question unfortunately. What
would you choose? ( I have 75g, 8 small fish, 50lb liverock).
Thanks,
Brian

Rio Seio pumps by
BSackamano
I searched this group's archives and found one discussion on the Seio pumps.
The conclusions was they are nice, but nothing like the Tunze stream pumps.
Has anyone else tried a Seio and can comment on the performance and
reliability?
