brittle star regrowth by
Billy
I've read in several places that brittle's will regrow limbs, though
will rarely do so in captivity. Lo and behold, my green brittle is
doing just that. Curiouser and curiouser....

DIY wavebox by
Frederik
Hi there,
I'm looking for a DIY wavebox design - any & all tips, hints & links
would be greatly appreciated. To be precise: I'm not looking for
bucket-type surge devices, but internal, pump-driven wave creating devices.
Thanks
Frederik

Sick Torch Coral by
Steve Schreiber
Hey,
My torch coral seems to be dying off one head at a time, seemingly
'catching' something from the previous head since it is going in order.
At this point, two heads are completely gone and a third is not doing
so well from just last night. I do not think I would be able to cut the
newly...

Ich Problem - What to do? by
maddie
I added a royal gramma to my 30-gallon tank one week ago. A few days ago, I
noticed some little white bubble-like spots on him and today there are a lot
more. Is this ich? What should I do?
Thanks!

Dinoflagellates by

I have a dino problem, 6 months now! confirmed at a university biology
lab. mixed with some cyano and a few diatoms. I read that this should
be self limiting if i just leave it alone. I was doing 10% water
changes weekly, adding trace elements, strontium, water parameter are

swha
Hi, folks
I've set up my 29G tank for two month. 3 weeks ago, there happened green
algae and nowadays, purple algae appeared on LR. Is this purple algae
harmful? Also, Should I remove it or it's normal phenomena in a new tank?
Thank you

1st one, I can only see it at night with a flashlight. It moves back
into the live rock as soon as the light hits it and I have not yet
been able to identify it. It looks simular to an earwig by size and
color (brownish).

Getting rid of Star polyps by
ABC
How do you control these things ? I am slowly moving over to an SPS tank and
these things grow like wildfire. I've traded, fraged them but need to
control some of it. Can you inject the mat with some fresh water or vinegar?
Scrap it off the rocks ? Cover it up with another rock ?

Care and Feeding of Leather Coral by
maddie
I'm new to keeping invertebrates, with the exception of some mushrooms. On
the advice of my LFS, it was recommended that I try a small leather coral.
Anything in particular I should know about what to feed it etc.?
Thanks!

Your opinion needed by
DeeOooGee
I'm thinking of buying an RO DI filter. I ran across this on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=20756&item=4337497773&rd=1
What is your thinking on buying used units? Can you just hook it up in the
Laundry room and then be able to make sal****er all day?
Thanks for the...

I found a used aquarium ad in the paper for a sw 55 gal tank, with all

true? I hope not! I go to pick it up tomorrow morning. If everything turns
out alright, what is the best way to transport it? 5 gal buckets from...

Bizarre lighting question. (x-posted). by
Wayne Sallee
To answer your question, yes, but not anymore. There was a MH light that had a
special ballast that would do that. Off hand I think it was called a solar MH
light, something like that. I think it was manufactured by Champion Lighing.
The MH bulb was actualy designed for running on DC. The ballast...

Lowest price for Instant Ocean by
Pszemol
The day is coming I will have to buy new salt
and I was wondering where is today the lowest
price for larger quantities (4x50g or 1x200g).
BTW - Petsmart.com sells 50g bags for 9.99
plus shipping, but the same bag in the store
costs 18.99 + tax... Interesting.
