Clueless LFS. by
Mandarin333
In this wasteland for reefkeepers that is my little corner of the world, I have
the misfortune of having only two ****ty shops that sell sal****er. By
sal****er I mean strictly fish and the odd anemone or unfortunate shrimp not
coral. One is a chain which shall remain nameless and ever clueless. ...

Question on Bristle Worms by
Rick
Over the last couple of weeks I have treated my main tank with Mardel
due to a die off of a lot of fish due to an Ich and/or a stage 2
bacterial infection.
Interesting enough, Now that I think back after looking at the dead
fish- with almost scares on their skins-I think now that the die off
may...

How many inverts? by
Angel
Hello all,
How many inverts (snails, shrimp and hermits) can I safely put in a 12
gallon tank? I have 5# of live rock and 5# of live sand already in
place. I'm not going to add any fish or other inverts (corals, etc.).
Thanks,
Angel

what's wrong with this??? by
robin.gordon1
during a bit of maintenance I moved a couple of small pieces of live rock to
discover that these were covered in a lovely reddish coralline algae but the
surfaces covered but the MH direct light was smothered in hair algae that
has to be removed daily.
surely the coralline should grow on the front...

Dave
Hello;
I have a AquaC Remora HOB skimmer on my 55gal tank. Last week, I made some
slight adjustments to my tank ... replaced the glass hanging heaters with a
Won Ton
Brothers titanium heater, removed a broken MaxiJet 1200 powerhead, and moved
one of the other powerheads to a different spot...

[Long] What is overstocking? by
Stu
Hi all,
My tank is overstocked. I know this because my nitrates are high and
also because if I posted a fish list here everyone would go through
the roof and killfile me. :) Unfortunately there are very few fish
that I'm willing to part with just yet.
Last night though, I was wondering exactly...

Tank making questions by
AAA
I want to make a hex-tank (6 sided) Around 40 g. I want 1/4 - 3/8
thickness in the material.
1. I know I can just buy one. But I want thicker glass. Does the bottom
piece have to be tempered glass, and why? I understand that tempered
glass can't be drilled.
2. I can have the plastic shop do all...

"eco-aqualizer" by
leroy freeland
"eco-aqualizer" has anyone used this rather new product ? What were its
results? It goes on line from sump,wet-dry,canister,powerhead ect. and uses
ionic energy by electromagnetic physics and FAR infrared radiation to
produce remarkable results and rduce water changes by 50%. Fresh, salt, and
reef.

The perfect protein skimmer.. by
Benjamin Slade
I've used several different kinds of protein skimmers and I've never
been completely happy with any of them.
I don't like the fact that almost all the venturi or bio-ball skimmers
(the ones that depend on pressure/flow to create the small bubbles) use
the same pump for creating the bubbles as they...

Booster Pump Installation by
Dave Town
Hello all... received my Aquatec 8800 RO booster pump on Thursday.
Yippee ! But there were no installation instructions with it, so I was
going to ASS_U_ME that the pump is installed between the carbon and
the RO, but then thought I'd ask you guys first. Should it go there,
or does it go before...
