Where do you mail order your corals? by
Scott Bennett
I've previously bought corals from Jeff's Exotic Fish in California. I'm
looking for other good places to order a handful of corals later this
summer. I've looked at the following:
MarineDepotLive.com
PremiumAquatics.com
AcmeReef.com
Sal****erfish.com
I've also been looking at GARF, but can't...

Aiptasia ID and getting it out by
Darrin O'Bryan
My tank has just finished cycling and I noticed what I think is an aiptasia.
It is about 1/2" tall and has a 1/4" tube (I'm positive it's not a tube
worm), white/clear in color and attached to a small piece of white base
rock. I've read that usually they are brownish but didn't know if...

Nitrites increasing slowly by
skozzy
If my nitrites are rising slowly over a few weeks to a few months, what
should I add to the tank to lower it ?. I want to try and go with the
natural method, no additives. I am hoping to get info soon about making a
new filter/sump/refugium from a 3 or 4 foot tank.

Snails, crabs, and Xenia dying by
Andy Black
Hi,
This past Friday I noticed a large bunch of my Xenia looked a little
"wilty". Kind of blue-grey and flopped over. Didn't think too much of it
because sometimes it does that.
Saturday, it looked worse. Took out one of the rocks that it is a
attached to and it smelled terrible. Definately...

Test Kits by
George Burnt
Hello,
I do not have the best eyesight in the world, so every test I do seems way
off according to how I read the colour charts. Last week my kit and my eyes
claimed that I had a PH of 1.2. Now I know this had to be wrong as my hand
did not disolve when I put it in the tank, so I bought a PH meter...

Uncle Sam
I have a lot of brown algea growing in my sand. I stir it up to get rid of
it, but it keeps coming back. I have Turbo Snail but they dont touch the
algea, they cling to the rocks and glass. Can someone offer a suggestion on
how to control the agrea, and how to clean up the sand..
Thanks

fish compatability and introduction questions by
Justin Boucher
Hello all,
My tank is now all set for the real stocking of fish that I intended. My
questions are regarding the order of introduction as well as compatabillity
issues that others out there may have experienced with this list. As an
FYI, my system is a 240 FOWLR, 180lbs LR and the only...

My maderin was so white I thought it was dead! I did not lose as many

There was so many...

Your Opinions/Experiences with Damsels by
Kevin
I have recently set up my first marine aquarium. It is going quite
well so far, (save a slight red slime problem i am trying to control).
I have put just one fish so far, a small yellowtail damsel. I would
like this to become a reef tank, and i did use the damsel knowing it
was very hardy and would...

Acropora feeding response. by
Simon O'Keeffe
Any one heard of Mesentry Filaments?
I have seen these white filaments coming out of some of the acros in my

short though 5mm or less.
they seem most prevelant after plankton replacement (Golden Pearls in
this case) is...

DSB Vs BB by
Bob Barnhart
Every group I go to has a different opinion on Deep Sand Beds Vs. Bare
Bottom Tanks. What is the experience and opinion of this group. I respect
the knowledge of a lot of the people in this group. I tend toward the DSB as
the BB looks so unnatural. I like the idea of somewhat biological...
