What would be the best way to clean the inside of my marine tank? Should I
use the same sponge on a stick type things that you use on fresh water
tanks?

What types of plastics are not reefsafe? by
TW
I was given a 50gal plastic rain barrel made by Lee Valley Tools as a
christmas gift. I am hoping to use it to set up a float valve to store
R/O or mix up SW for water changes. Are there any types of plastics
that are not safe to use for this purpose? This dark green plastic
barrel is brand new...

my burgundy sea star literally fell apart by
BigHaig
my burgundy sea star literally fell apart. Three of the four arms fell of.
There is nothing in the tank that is large enough to do this to it. Is this
common? Is it just shedding or something?
Thanks

Identifying & Researching Reef Species by
John
I've recently started a reef tank and am now introducing livestock. So far
limited to 2 clowns, common feather duster and a Luby Worm. The Luby is
apparently of the sea cucumber family, I've been trying to research but
can't find anything on the web. I've spent lots on books but none of them
are...

Black Mithrax crab pictures by
Marc Levenson
I was amazed that I caught this guy last night. I was about to do a coral dip
to save the coral, and who happened to be hanging out on the backside of that
coral? :D
I put him in a small dish trying to decide whether to listen to the advice of
those that opposed this pretty guy, and he hung on...

Free Frags in Columbus Ohio by
Ron
I have some green star polyps and various mushrooms looking for a new home.
They are starting to overrun my tank and I would rather give them away
instead of pitching them in the trash.
Decode my email address and let me know if you are interested. I will not
ship.

Any suggestions for successfully leaving a tank unattended for a week?
The tank is not stocked particularly heavily and can easily go for a week
without calcium or buffer dosing. The lighting is all on timers. I have 3
small fish (2 ocellaris clowns and a firefish) that usually get a mixture
of...
