Skimmers by
Fish guy
Anyone have experience with AquaC EV180 skimmer? I'm using the required Mag
7 pump. Makes nice foam but next to nothing gets up into the cup. I have
adjusted the waste gate from wide open which sets the water level to 1 inch
below the reaction chamber as per instructions. and I have closed the...

Dumb Anemone Question by
Mort
Can anemones be upside down?
I ask because this morning when I turned the lights on I discovered that it
moved all the way across the tank.
I've only had it for a couple of days so I am sure it is trying to find a
place where it ill be happy. It's a Sabae Anemone.
Anyway, when the lights came on...

US Aquarium Brand Protein Skimm by
erik
Hello all.
The only protein skimmer I've ever owned is 20" (120 gal) hang-on-back
by US Aquarium.
I suspect that it's not such a great skimmer but am unsure what to
expect since this is the only one I've ever used.
I can say for sure that the RIO 600 pump that it uses is a piece of
junk.
So, I'd...

"Passed" my tapwater test by
Toni
Our tapwater test was pretty much a success.
I did find one flaw in my design but it is easily remedied and best that I
do it now instead of later.
Details and photos at http://www.cearbhaill.com/tapwater_test.htm
If anyone sees anything in any of my photos that I have done incorrectly
please tell...

How bad is this? by
Mort
Today I wanted to add a couple of power heads to my reef.
Like a dumb $h!+ I put them in the tank and plugged them in to make sure
they worked. While I placed them and was trying to hide the cords behind
rockwork, they unded up pointing downward and stirring up about half of my
DSB.
Should I be...

Cannibal Green Brittel Star by
Layer3guru
This is going to seem like a stupid question but what is the proper way to
feed one of these. I purchased one from the LFS for $1.99 on sale and was
like ok cool good deal. Well I get it home and this thing is a cannibal.
After acclimation I dropped it in the tank and right away it jumped right...

Durso question? by
Toni
Have durso standpipe.
Am attempting to fine tune the length of the pipe as regards overflow
height.
http://www.rl180reef.com/pages/standpipe/construct-standpipe.htm .
Using the "tee" (#5)on the durso as a reference, where exactly should the
waterline in the overflow be?
Halfway up the tee- keeping...

Costumer Service Is Alive And Well by
Ken
I will make a long story as short as possible here. I purchased a 90 acrylic
tank from BLUE SIERRA in Issaquah, Wa. on 9/17. Since then I have built my
stand, hood, wired all the electric in the stand including a PLC to run
things, plumbed everything and all the while curing 90lbs of new live...

OT freshwater question by
Matthew Heath
Today I noticed what looks to be a case of popeye in my Albino Oscar. What
is the best cure? I've done a 20 % water change. I've looked around the
net but thought I'd ask some people with experience. :-)
thanks

air bubbles by
Kelly
I added a long flat piece of live rock two days ago and today I noticed that
underneath on the bottom of it are a bunch or larger air bubbles. Is this an
indicator of something wrong?

Identification help by
CJK
I have had an explosion of growth in my CPR skimmer of all places. They are
little white "blobs" or egg shaped things for lack of a better description,
with a crown on top , they are the weirdest things I have seen, they look
like an oval with a fuzzy little crown on top, any...
