RWD in snow by
NJ Vike
Well,
Still thinking of the new 300C and was since some of us have been given some
pretty nasty weather in the form of snow, how did your 300C (RWD) perform?

Detroit Rescue Plans Revealed by
Comments4u
With Congressional hearings starting Tuesday, everyone wonders what pitch
the Detroit automakers will use to try to convince Congress - and more
importantly, the public - that spending taxpayer money will rescue them.
Bits and pieces have leaked, and its time to start evaluating them.

Consumer Reports slams Magnum by
Art
Not surprisingly Consumer Reports did not have much good to say about the
Magnum. They tested the 3.5 (I believe they will be reporting on the hemi
when they test the sedan) and of course thought the visibility and load
capacity were highly compromised by the styling. They considered some of
the...

94 Caravan - fuel pump won't run by
[email protected]
The van has been sitting for a while, but started fine 2 weeks ago. A
few days ago it cranked fine, but the fuel pump didn't do the normal
2-second pressure up when the key was first turned on.
I can get the fuel pump to run if I jumper the fuel pump relay, so the
wiring to the pump and the pump...

300C vs Monaro vs Jag S by
Dori A Schmetterling
Last night on a BBC channel Top Gear, probably the UK's premier TV motoring
programme, ran a head-to-head test of three "muscle cars":
- Vauxhall Monaro (i.e. the Holden from Australia)
- 300C (which is coming to the UK with RHD next year)
- souped-up Jaguar S with 4-litre engine.
The panel of...

Cost of Chrysler financing by
John Bartley I solved my XP problems w/ Service P
Anyone know what APR, points and fees Chrysler financing is charging
these days?
Looking at buying an $11,000 2005 PT Cruiser (stick, *no* accessories)
with $4,000 down. Costco is offering 3.25% and up with zero points and
fees, which seems pretty good.
For reference, I am willing to ignore...

B/RB vacuum advance source? by
Nate Nagel
Can someone tell me where I can find a source for an early 70's B/RB
vacuum advance? Preferably adjustable but not necessarily? I've hit
every parts store in the area and the only one that claims to be able to
get it just tried to sell me an A/LA unit (opposite rotation.) I need
the B/RB unit...

I just heard on a local car show that a dirty air filter only affects
performance. It does not lower miles per gallon.

NYC Auto Show: Chrysler Prez arrives on stage in butt-ugly Fiat by

I wouldn't be caught dead driving that car if you paid me.
Nothing Fiat makes would be anything other than a laughing stock in
North America.
You know what I don't get?
Daimler still owns 19% of Chrysler. Daimler has a bunch of small cars.
Why aren't we hearing about any deals to bring THOSE...

IRS should cancel tax credits on gas guzzler "hybrids" by
Jonathan Race
Many of the new generation hybrids aren't specifically designed to increase
fuel economy more than a few MPG but rather to reduce emissions. Since the
most emissions are generated in slow speed stop-and-go driving, the use of
an electric motor for that type of movement reduces emissions on...

This month Consumer Reports rates the 300 and the Ford 500. They point out
that the cars are worlds apart..... Chrysler was trying to build an
exciting car while Ford was going for ergonomics. Guess which one got the
higher rating...

So the radiator got replaced, started up the car and it was running
fine, I went to check for tube leaks and found one with the trans.
fluid slowly dripping out, I fixed it and when I went to restart the
car it wont, just a single click. I checked the oil, its okay but it
still wont start, I'm...

Ignition question involving use of ballast resistor by
Jack[_22_]
1987 Dodge Dakota 3.9L carbed
I recently posted on rec.autos.tech about the problems I was having with
an MSD 5900 Blaster ignition and an MSD 8202 Baster 2 coil. It seems I
could use one or the other with no problem, either the MSD ignition with
the stock coil or the MSD coil with the stock...
