2002 Civic AC works sometimes, other times it blows hot by
KWW[_2_]
My daughter's 2002 Civic LX has an odd AC issue. Sometimes it blows very
cold (even when the temperature is 100+ degrees outside) and other times
it does not. We have tried jiggling the fan speed, temperature control,
AC, and vent switches since on some vehicles those switches get "bad
spots"...

98 Odyssey front end howl & Brake Lamp light on dash?? by
Griffindog
I'm having trouble determing the cause of a howl coming from the front end
of the van. I have had one wheel bearing replaced, changed all season
tires to snow tires (howl just got louder), brakes are suppose to be fine.
But the noise is getting quite unbareable. Today the Brake Lamp light went
on...

2009 Accord Rear Speakers by
dristan24
One of the rear speakers has blown in our 2009 Accord, and needs to be
replaced. Does anyone know how to remove the covers and speakers? As
well, does anyone know what size the speakers are (6x9???), and what
they should be replaced with?

Front End Alignment At 15,000 Miles ? by
Robert11
Hi,
Would like to get your opinions on this:
Brought my 2004 Accord LX, 6 cyl in for the first 15,000 mile checkup.
The Service Mgr. at the dealership said that "they automatically do a front
end alignment on these
cars Every 15,000, as the "slightest mis-alignment causes uneven wear on...

CV joint boots by
[email protected]
I've got a split one on the driver side. The rubber
still looks good, but it split, I believe, because it
was stretched out a little too much when installed.
The CV joint is still good AFAIK. Would it be hard to
install one myself? I've never done it, but have the
usual tools and do lots of...

94 Accord ABS Light Comes ON by
Motz
I'm having this problem with the ABS light coming on on my 94 Accord EXR.
It started coming on only after was rolling about 5 km but now it comes on
soon after I start moving the car. When I start the engine and its on idle,
it goes through the ABS check and light goes off, soon as I put it in...

broken timing belt=valve damage? by
Robert Reynolds
My 1987 Accord LX (with carburetor) had a timing belt failure. Is it
possible to know if my valves and pistons are trashed without
disassembling the engine? I didn't hear any loud catastrophic sounding
noises when it failed. It just stopped running.

power steering fluid change? by
Michael[_19_]
My dealer recommended a "fluid exchange" for my Accord. The car has 80,000 miles. I found nothing in the manual about powersteering fluid other than to make sure "it's up to the line" in the reservoir. Do I need to change it or is the dealer trying to sell me something.
Thanks

too late for synthetic? by
chibitul
My 2001 Civic LX manual transmission has almost 60k miles. I think the
original engine oil was special because the dealership refused to
change it until I had about 7500 miles. Then I changed the oil every
5000-6000 miles, I figured my driving is between normal (10k) and
severe (5k).
Anyway, I...

Radio Code?? by
Parent
I have an Accord V6, 1999. Recently had the alternator replaced. Thus, with
no battery power the radio needs to be reset with a code. I am the second
owner of the car and do not know the code. I have checked the glovebox
handbook and called the local dealer with no success in finding the code.
The...

98' Accord, Rear camber not adjustable? The followup. by
Al[_1_]
A couple of weeks ago I posted a question about adding adjustable rear
control arms to fix a camber problem.
I've since been to my Honda dealer, who's service department did an
alignment, and "fixed" the camber problem. He adjusted the rear toe, which
he said brought the camber back a bit,...

Using fuel cleaners in 2005 Accord ex by
Al
Hello,
I was wondering which of the aftermarket fuel additives are best for
cleaning the fuel injectors in a 2005 Honda Accord EX automatic? So far I
have tried the gumout extra concentrated and it seemed okay. I think it was
a carb/fuel injector cleaner. Does anyone know if this was a good idea...

Hybrids: Single-Driver Lanes by

I saw an article in the newspaper yesterday indicating that they are
passing a law in California allowing owners of Hybrid vehicles to use
"single-driver" lanes. Brock Yates, in his article that appeared in the
Sept. 2005 issue of "Car and Driver" indicated that other states also
allow the owners...

Speakers for Honda Civic (1998, UK Model) by
Ian
Hi,
I'm in the UK and have just purchased a 1998 5 Door Honda Civic Hatchback
(1.4). I want to replace the factory fitted speakers with some after market
ones. I've been informed by Halfords that the size of the front speakers is
17cm (6.5") and the rear speakers are 10cm although a lot of people...
