American cars by
Dave
It time to break out those old cars and get them fixed up, and back on
the road again, if we just let these old cars rot in to a pile of
dust. We will lost a lot, we need to keep our cars up and running, we
need to show these non-American Americans what's up. I know we still
have some pride left in...

another overheat problem by
Matt Langenfeld
Hope this is the right forum to ask in. If not, please direct me where
to ask.
I have an '89 Sunbird that's getting close to overheating. It happens
rather fast and if I don't pay attention, it will overheat. If I rev the
engine and increase the RPMs, it'll cool down. I turn the heater on to
help...

Anyone install Goodyear Assurance Comfortred tires? by
[email protected]
I have a 97 accord with 140K and I recently replaced my worn Michelin
X-ones with a set of Goodyear Assurance Comfortreds. The ride
originally wasn't up to expectations (especially considering the
reviews for this tire), so I had the rubber damping mounts replaced
which looked seriously worn and...

Anyone tried Mr Clean car wash? by

Is the $40 Mr. Clean AutoDry carwash kit really work as advertised? I'm
interested in no spots with no hand drying. Your experience is appreciated.
Thanks -

Are Anti-Lock (ABS) Brakes Mandatory on All Cars? by
[email protected]
I was having a discussion with my friend about my 1997 Hyundai
Elantra. I told him that it doesn't have ABS brakes. He insisted
that it did, though, as he is under the belief that *all* cars
produced since a certain year in the 90's are required by law to have
ABS brakes as standard equipment. ...

Are auto repair shops liable for damages? by
sean
Hi,
Just took my Honda Civic into a garage to get a tire patched up. The guy who
worked there took off the lugnuts from the studs holding the wheel in place.
While taking the last one off he totally stripped the stud and ruined the
lugnut. Now I'm stuck with only three out of the four studs to...

Are Cars With Right Side Steering Allowed in U.S.? by
Will
Are there any laws in the U.S. in general, and California specifically, that
forbid the importing of cars with the steering columns on the right side of
the car?
Steering Column location aside, if you are interested in a fuel efficient
hybrid that is not sold in the U.S., would there be...

are they still available? by
RB
Back in the late '70s, I recall running across fleets of small pickups with
small diesel engines in them (Nissan, Tohatsu, Isuzu, etc). All I saw were
stick shift, and got phenomenal road fuel mileage. Although small, they
were sprung like a billy goat (really stiff suspensions), and could carry...
