I want to break my saturn by
Fowie
My parents are away and they've left their 2004 Saturn L300 in the
driveway to await their return. Unfortunately, my older (but not very
car-caring) brother found the keys. He has his own, but while the
Saturn's there, why drive it? So, I'd like to "break" the Saturn when
he's not looking. Is...

99 SL2 w/Transmission Clunkage and Slippage by
Heretic Scribe
Greets all! New Reader/Subscriber, so I hope I'm not duplicating
something commonly asked. If I am, apologies in advance.

It currently has 79k miles on it. With the exception of the last on,
I get the oil changed...

SIRIUS Radio by
HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)
I'm wondering if threes a unit that can attach to the stock radio (Like I'm
told XM's units can) for my 1997 Saturn SC2 with a Tapedeck. (And yes, it
has an AX button.)

Thanks!

'92 SL fan and engine temp by
bill
On my 92 SL DOHC the average temp on the C to H dial is about half way;
summers it moves a little over the half mark, winters it stays under.
But when I get stuck in stop 'n go, it climbs up and touches the red
zone. Then I do what everyone else does, I punch the a/c button, then
punch it again to...

Just curious: is it "voo", or "vyew", or "vee-yew-eee", or what?

Brake Fluid by
HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)[_52_]
If I dare attempt to purge my brakes myself, any tips?
I read somewhere that there is a good fluid that isn't the standard color
for sat - and helps let you know when all of the old fluid is flushed out.
I plan on trying the Brembo rotors and Greenstuff pads as recommended!

98 SL2 value? by
Russ Benoit
Hi group-
I looked at a '98 SL2 this afternoon locally, it appears to be a good
deal but I wanted to toss this your way. Car is automatic, 59K miles,
power doors/locks/sunroof, also has cruise. Problems all appear to be
cosmetic, minor scratches on the front and back fenders but nothing
noticeable...

Anti-Lock Brake question by
Oppie
Was driving in icy weather yesterday and had the first bad experience with
the ABS system. I have gotten so accustomed to just putting my foot on the
brake and having the ABS doing all the work when required. Thankfully there
were no other cars arround me as I tried to slow for a turn. I stepped...

OMG - A Cadillac Wagon! by
PerfectReign
I know this isn't a.a.gm, but I thought it too funny. Today, I drove my
wife's Vue to the gym. I ended up parking next to this car. It wasn't
recognizable, so I looked at the make - Caddy. But wait - it was a station
wagon! I couldn't belive it a Cadillac station wagon.
No wonder GM is having...

oil pressure sender failures: Continued by
David Teichholtz
Executive summary:
1995 SW1 has gone through about 5 oil pressure senders. They all started
leaking through the electrical connection. The first 4 were from NAPA, then
I bought the factory one from a Saturn dealer. That one lasted
maybe 500 miles. Car has 194,000 miles. Regular oil changes...

How new a DOHC motor will easily replace the existing 96 DOHC? by

How new a DOHC motor will easily replace the existing 96 DOHC in my SC-2?
My 96 Sc2, was just recently promoted to not being my daily driver. The
car is great, served me well. Even though I've probably been too fussy
about replacing parts it is still showing it's age, Now that I don't
need...
