'Salvage' titles by
The Real Bev[_5_]
Is there any reason to ever buy a salvaged car for anything but a
throwaway price? I'm talking about "normal" people here, not the
Roadkill Garage guys... Two friends, two disasters. One friend had
invested a lot in racing parts before the Mustang broke in half. The
other was given the car...

Auto Air Horn Installation - Wiring by
John Heubusch
I am installing an airhorn in my 1946 Diamond T pickup truck but need
help in understanding how to wire it correctly.
The two horn trumpets and compressors have already been installed
correctly. It's the electric wiring I need help with. The kit comes
with two sets of terminals to wire the...

DexCool by
Jack Hayes
What experience have people in this group had with GM's dexcool. My sons
Jimmy started to leak at the manifold and the dealer said it was because of
the dexcool antifreeze used, of course GM said the dealer was wrong.

avoiding cold starts by
mac
First, are these assumptions correct?
(1) Starting a car when the engine is cold puts alot more stress on it
than when it's already warm.
(2) And the colder it is, the more stress.
Because i've always assumed the above, I do the following, but I want
to verify whether it's really worth it and...

Just to add an experienced +1 to that comment above...

Lincoln vs Cadillac by
Bailey B
Surprised that GM didn't drop Cadillac. From my experience I find that
Lincoln Town Car is greatly preferred to full size Cadillacs. The
general consensus is that Cadillac is junk, inferior even to Chevrolet.
A limo service told me that they haven't used Cadillac in years.
Because they break...

22 gallon tank took 23 gallons to fill by
Jack[_22_]
A pump at a local Chevron gas station tallied up 23 gallons when I
filled my 1987 Dodge Dakota V6, which has a 22 gallon tank. I have
never, in the 21 years I have owned the truck, ever seen the tally go
above 22 gallons.
I have come to be able to read the low end of the gauge pretty good and

Electric Rangers for sale by
EVRanger
We have exciting news!
Our company was able to save a number of Ford EV Rangers from
being "disposed of". If you were one of the original users/lessees
of these trucks, we know how hard it was to turn them in at the end
of your lease. Now is your opportunity to put these trucks back into
your...

Engine Overheat Problem by

Have a 68 Buick with a 430 V-8. The "Hot" light comes on when the car
has been driven and then sits with then engine off for approximately 20
min. If the car is started and the light comes on, I can rev the
engine up a bit and the light will go out. If I drive it below 75mph
the temp light stays...

I have a problem.....
