How to check for space *before* denting hood? by micky
I need to put a small accessory under the hood of my car, but fear it will hit the hood when it's lowered. How do people decide before deniting the hood if something is too big? I tried wadded up newspaper, but it just sprang back to the original wad size. Thanks

Hi folks, I would like all you guys to check out the world's cheapest car. Its supposed to cost only around $ 2000 (maybe a bit more) and its being launched in India...can you believe it. Battery goes flat quickly by Old Wolf
My car battery seems to go flat quickly. If I do not use my car for 2 weeks then it will not start. Also, if I leave it with the tiny map light on, it goes flat overnight (Not even enough juice left for one crank). What might be causing this? I can't think of anything that would drain the battery...

Plastic bumper welding/repair by Bob Urz
How repairable are the plastic bumpers on late model cars? Wife got crashed again in the 93 Taurus. The slide bracket on the bumper that holds the side of the bumper to the body broke some spot welds. The bracket came off all together on the other side. And there is one small pushed in area. So,...

Brake light and tail light operation - help settle a bet by RicodJour
I'm not a motor head, I'm just the nut behind the wheel. I find myself in a discussion about how tail lights and brake lights operate in respect to one another. A buddy is telling me that the tail lights shut off when the brake lights come on. I don't believe that since that would mean if your...

Why would AC only work when foot is on gas? by David
Our family has two Isuzu Rodeos, a 1995 and a 1997. The AC on the 1995 works great. the 1997 stinks. On the '97 Rodeo when I'm sitting still, it gets very hot when the car is idling. My first thought is that the engine is getting so hot, I need to be moving to have the additional air cooling. ...

K&W Permanent Block Seal??? by [email protected]
K&W Permanent Block Seal??? Hi all, My 1991 Nissan 300zx Turbo head gasket is blown. I am losing water at a rate of 2 quarts every 300 miles. I can see bubbles, lots of them, in my radiator with the engine idling. I'd rather not rebuild the head, because it costs too much. I would like to try...
