Power Steering Fluid Leak by
BWR
I have a 1988 Mazda MX6 Turbo which runs beautifully. Just this past
month, a groaning noise started as i turned the steering wheel, which
lead me to check the power steering fluid level. The level was down and
there was oil underneath the fluid resevoir. I took the resevoir out,
checked it for...

Readiness Monitors? by
M.M.
I just had my 98 Chevy Astro van emission tested (Arizona/Maricopa
County). It passed OK but there's an entry in the results section of the
report that says 'Readiness Monitors that are not ready: Oxygen Sensor
Heater'. What does that mean? Is there a problem with the O2 sensor that
I should be...

kingarthur777
I am new to modifying cars and this question is probably not going to
make much sense but I still want to find out.
I drive a Nissan Almera Active 2001 1495cc and was wondering if I can
improve the performance of it.
I have a few ideas in mind but not sure if it can be done to this
particular...

Chevy truck rear wheels "sticking" by
Jonathan Ward
I have a 1984 Chevy K-20. 350 engine, 4-speed gearbox. (Also has a
PTO to run a dump bed and a winch.) Just yesterday I noticed that
going around corners (left or right) the rear wheels seem to be
"sticking," that is they chirp a little like they're not rotating
freely. No problems when...

Disc brakes grabbing / slight shudder by
Mark Shroyer
I have a 2000 Integra GS, disc brakes on all four wheels. Recently
my *front* brakes have been grabbing and shuddering as I stop the
vehicle. The shuddering, or "rhythmic groaning slippage" as one of
my verbose friends calls it -- which can only slightly be felt
through brake pedal feedback, but...

Brake Bleeder Preference by
Steve W.[_4_]
Pressure or vacuum type? How about the pump style pressure units with no
separate chamber for fluid?
I've got a friend looking for one for his home garage.
I use an older KD pressure set-up but he doesn't like the price. I
figure the folks on here might have a few options he could look at.
So...

I have a DieHard 750 Portable Power jump starter & DC power source. It

must connect the clamps directly to the posts on the battery you are
boosting. You cannot...

Radical tire rotation? by
Hamish
I'd like to do a radical rotation of my tires, have them dismounted from
the wheels and put back on with the rounded off corners inward. I would
make sure that they are still rotating in the same direction. Is this a
bad idea?
Another question. So that my windshield washer solution does not...

95 explorer brake problem by
[email protected]
Ok, I knew just enough to be dangerous when I tried to top off the
brake fluid reservoir. I had a focus previously and the brake and
power steering fluid were in the same reservoir. So I put power
steering fluid into my brake fluid tank. The brakes started to fail,
and after asking some questions,...

Custom cars by
[email protected]
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking lately about custom cars and all the legislation
that is being put in place to control a sector of the automotive
industry that relies on being out of someone elses control. I mean, we
are modifying our cars to speak to other people but how can we do that
when we...
