Survey: Dealer's Badges by Paul Hovnanian P.E.[_2_]
I'm trying to get an idea of how common a practice it is for auto dealers to affix permanent badges or plaques to the vehicles that they sell. Where I live (Washington State) the practice is rare. More like nonexistent. License plate trim rings with dealer's names and adverts are common. But...

Tire inflation dashboard warning.... by Proctologically Violated©®[_2_]
Awl -- How does the dashboard know when there is low tire inflation?? Only two ways I can think of: A wireless pressure sender in the rim, or some kind of touch probe/micro switch that can detect sidewall bulge. Iny idears?

Pressure Build Up in My '90 Acura Legend by The Doctor
My '90 Legend is building up tremendous pressure in the cooling system after , say 150-200 miles of driving (not all at once). It is also using coolant. The oil is squeaky clean as is the coolant itself so I don't think there is a head gasket issue. However, EVERY time I take a very sharp left-hand...

'89 Eagle, hood won't open by Knifeblade_03[_130_]
Well, the interior hood release lever went west. Thus, the hood won't open. If I can get the primary latch to open, I can get to the safety catch through the grille. No, sigh, I can't remove grille, stupid screws concealed by the hood, sheesh. And, there is no visible cable around the interior...

Balancing tires on a Hunter GSP 9700 by BCDrums
Am getting new tires and have become aware of this machine. Is this one of many brands of wheel-balancing machines, or is it worth seeking out? When I have bought tires previously (which is seldom) I have paid no attention, and have had no problems. Are there substantial differences between...

gas guzzling and no leaks by [email protected]
Hello My 1991 Cutlass goes through gas like crazy lately with no smell of gas or apparent leaks. I recently replaced the exhaust manifold and the spring bolts do not form a perfect seal. Could this be tricking the computer into running a super rich mixture. I have noticed this problem a lot more...
