S10 blower resistor/HVAC by
Bob Urz
My 1996's S10 blower quit working. My AC was out too, so i did not pay
much attention to it this summer. I looked at it over the weekend
and found the resistor pack in the air plenum under the hood.
I had one of these fail in my old Mazda B2000, and it melted the
resistors in 1/2. This unit had...

93 Acclaim diagrams? by
clifto
Anyone have diagrams and such for a 1993 Acclaim? I have an Acclaim whose
title says it's a 1994, but I found out it doesn't have a 1994 transaxle
and now I find it doesn't have 1994 fuel system wiring. Specifically,
the fuel pump and level sender aren't on the rear of the tank as the book
says,...

Turning rotors on a shop lathe by
Proctologically Violated©®[_2_]
Awl --
First, how "rough is rough" before you have to turn down a rotor?
In the two rotors I just took off, one face was quite smooth, two faces were
smooth but a little "ridgy" or ripply, and one was obviously scored and
gouged. Is ridgy/ripply OK?
Next, the rotors fit quite well on a 13"...

Dakota update:No smoke! by
stryped[_2_]
I let it idle for 30 minutes. Smoke went away. I drove it in my field
and no smoke. Thanks guys for all your help.
Now all I have to do is figure out why it wont idle when cold. I will
start and run with the foot on the gas when cold but let off the
accelerator and it dies. Until it gets warmed...

Honda Accord Codes p1259 and p0401 by

I have a 99 honda accord and it has been cutting out pretty bad while
accelerating. Then the check engine light came on with these codes p
1259 and 0401. Where should I start, could these issues be related? I
have never had to work on this car and it has right at 200000 miles on
it but I need it...

1998 Ford Escort radiator fan by
Bill Kinkaid
Getting a whirring/jingling noise coming from the fan. It's working
fine, no play and nothing appears to be loose or broken but is this an
indication of worn bearings or something that will sooner or later put
it out of order? Cooling system and a/c are in good shape with
radiator replaced about a...

1977 coupe deville 425 manifold vacuum behavior by
tich
Having a little trouble understanding manifold vacuum and what affects
it. When I start my car the vacuum as measured from a port directly
into the intake manifold is low, around 14 in Hg. As the car warms up
and the choke opens the vacuum reading gradually improves to around 17
in Hg.
I...

wheel "chirping" sound by
elda
My front passenger-side wheel has been making kind of a "chirping" sound
for a week now (1994 Nissan Maxima). It happens most at low speeds (10
mph and slower), or going around curves. Sounds a little bit like a
game call where two parts are rubbed together.
I don't think it's the wear...

new head - to re-ring or not by
Ryan Underwood
I seem to be picking up a lot of dissonance on this issue. All over the net
I see people tell stories about how they took in their high mileage head for
a valve job and milled flat, and they were thrilled that the motor ran like
new thereafter, perhaps with a gasket shim to restore original...

Mazda MPV, humming noise by
pater
00 MPV , v6 multiport. Air box intermittantly emits a loud humming
noise, vacuum type of noise. Wondering if this is a common enough
headache so as someone has seen it before & knows the solution. If you
pinch off the large vacuum line going from the plenum to the intake
tube, it goes away. This...
