Name brands at Walmart by Bailey B
WalMart sells Motorcraft and AC Delco oil filters. Are these filters 100% the same quality as a Ford or GM dealer would install? Of does Motorcraft and AC Delco have a lower quality oil filter made for WalMart? The reason I ask is that a Goodyear dealer said that a Goodyear tire at WalMart is...

How Important is the Position Index Boss on Banjo Fittings? by jim evans
The brake hose on my '94 Camry sprung a leak this morning. I bought a replacement at Auto Zone, but it doesn't fit right. There's a little indexing tit/boss near the banjo fitting that is supposed to slip into a hole in the casting. The distance between the boss and the fitting is too short in the...

The KBH Vehicle Weight Efficiency Formula by KBH
The KBH Vehicle Weight Efficiency Formula multiplies a vehicle's average track-width times its wheelbase-length to arrive at vehicle- platform-square-units. Then the formula divides the vehicle-weight by the vehicle-platform-square-units to arrive at a weight-per-square- unit index value. Finally,...

My sons 1993 Honda Prelude was pushing steam into his anti-freeze resevoir. It was low on water/anti-freeze and we put some water in there. The temp indicator in the car was reading fine. I am surprised it was pushing steam, I thought it should be trying to suck up some anti-freeze instead of...

The Torque Converter Clutch is sticking on my 88 Buick Skylark causing the auto to stall when going off the offramp. I know one solution is to cut snip the TCC wire. Does anyone know where that is located or the best place to cut it is? Thanks.
