replacing 4wd speed sensors on a 98 (due to flashing 4wd lights) by
sehaare
I've got a 98 v6 sohc and I've got the infamous flashing 4WD hi/
4WD low light problem. From doing a search I've found that it is
probably a faulty speed sensor (I thought that it might be) and that
they are located in the transfer case. Has anyone replaced them
theirselves? How hard was it? How...

When my '92 EB with the 4.0 V6 has been sitting for a while it will run
rough when I first start it up and white smoke comes out of the tailpipe.
There is oil in the intake (the plastic tube that goes from the air cleaner
to the intake manifold) where the crankcase breather is connected to...

Explorer engine heater by
nirget
I just bought a 93 explorer and would like to add an engine heater
without the trouble of installing a frost plug type in the engine
block. Does anyone know if a dipstick heater works well? I know you
can't use them on vehicles with plastic dipstick tubes---I haven't
looked, but I'm guessing this...

power windows, 4WD lites - need relay by
Walter Harley
My '95 Limited is having problems where sometimes when I start it up, none
of the power windows will work, and the 4WD and 4WD LO lights blink
periodically.
I understand from some posts a few years back that for some people, this has
been fixed by replacing a relay, part number F0AZ14N089A.
Does...

M. Prindle
Hello everyone,
I just got a new '05 Ford Explorer XLS and I was disappointed to find
out there is only one 12V power outlet in the whole truck. I need at
least two outlets one for my radar detector and the 2nd would be used
intermittently for various other uses including a cell phone charger or
a...

Oil Filter Magnets? by
TJN
I've been reading a lot of articles lately about using magnets together with
the oil filter to trap metalic micro-shavings. One version was a flexible
wrap that went on the outside of the filter, another version looked like a
capsule that was dropped into the input opening of the oil filter. ...
