1993 Intrepid rear defroster by
Good day all,
I have a 1993 Intrepid ES with the 3.5l engine. I'm having a problem with
the rear defroster, as in it doesn't work. I click on the button and the
light comes on but the lines don't heat up. I looked for a fuse on the left
side of the dash but there is nothing listed for the...

1992 Acclaim Valve Cover Removal by
I am currently attempting my first real under-the-hood repair, changing the
ruptured valve cover gasket on my 1992 4-cylinder acclaim. However, I'm
having a devil of a time removing the valve cover. I removed the cowling on
the left hand side of the engine, and the bolts around the base of...

My 94' Chrysler LHS vibrates when at 60-70 mph. It comes from the front
end. The tire pressure is ok, does anyone have any suggestions?

PT Transmission Service by
My wife's 2005 convertible is coming up on 30K miles. What is the
plan for servicing the transmission. I have read many posts about
having it done by a dealer using the approved AFT +4 fluid only. What
else is necessary? Clean screen, new filter, clean pan, etc. Sorry
for the lack of...

Replacement Tires for PT Cruiser Convertible by
The Goodyear Eagles are starting to show wear at around 27K. They are
not smooth tires and I do not like the low profile. Would 75 or 70
series tires be better as a replacement? If so, what brand?
Thank you

How to increase mileage on PT? by
I have read this newsgroup and have tried the following things to
increase the mileage on my wife's 2005 PT Turbo convertible: Increase
tire pressure, use the approved KN filter, go to Mobil 1 synthetic.
This is our second PT, the first one being the base sedan. Are there
any secrets out there...

Why are distributor #'s so important? by
I have a 1940 Chrysler Royal, 241.5 six, and am wondering why the
distributor # is so important in getting the correct points,
condensor, rotor and cap? I have checked NAPA and Echlin makes a
generic set for old flathead engines. Would these work? Or do I need
the specific ones for the...

2005 T&C Front Disc Brake Replacement, glue? by
Hi All,
I've changed front disc brakes before without any issue.
I recently pull the front disc brakes on a 2005 Town & Country Minivan and
found the outside pad glued to the caliper. It wasn't just "stuck" there
from all the road grime it looked like it was glued. I gave it a few hits
with...

A/C prob 96 Grand Caravan by
I have a 96 Grand Caravan and the compressor works intermittently. I have
checked the R-134a pressures and it seems ok. This problem seems to be in
the control circuit for the clutch since if I cycle the compressor switch in
the cab it will often come on for a time or even work till the car is...

Voyager by
Please excuse the ignorance, but Chrysler is almost an "unknown"
manufacturer in Australia
By that I mean they are very low volume compared to other makes (esp
japanese) here.
My Brother bought a Jeep 2 years ago, & while it looks nice from a distance
IMHO build quality and the cheap / flimsy...

97 Concorde steering issues by
I have a 97 Chrysler Concorde, 136,000 miles roughly. Steering is loose and
hard to control at times. I've heard everything from bad rack and replace
it at big cost, to just replacing worn rubber bushings. Anyone else with
similar year/mileage Concorde have the same issues and what ended up...

Maint for 120K 98' Neon? by
Is there anything that needs to be done at about 120K miles on a '98 Neon

With the cold weather it's done the severeve misfirring / car shaking at
startup. I remember discussion of this and a recall / computer flash. Does
anyone know if this is still valid? Also any suggestions as to...

___ Slipping guts out of a '91 3-speed tranny :-) by
'Curly Q. Links'
I've got a '91 Caravan 3.0 Litre cargo apart in my unheated (Canadian)
garage tonight, (-14C) because I broke the Reverse band Anchor a few
months ago. It's just a 3" axle that acts as the stop for the reverse
band. To get it out is easy, (if you're a tranny guy). :-)
Does anybody have a link of...

__ Plastic 'plug' left in heater drain . . . by
'Curly Q. Links'
My '87 Caravan had it and my '91 Caravan has it too. The drain that is
supposed to allow water in the heater to run out thru the firewall has a
plastic plug (Carplug) in it, that was apparently not removed when the
vehicle was assembled. On the '87, it caused the water to sit in the
heater and rust...
