changing brake fluid, also ABS by
Abeness
I'd like to change the brake fluid in my 94 Civic with ABS, but I'm
unsure of the best method to ensure that all or most fluid is replaced.
It looks to me like changing the fluid in the ABS unit is beyond my DIY
capabilities. The bleeder T-wrench would cost $116, and the ALB Checker
would be $825!...

Changing Brakes and Disc on a ** Honda Civic 98 Hatchback DX** by
Jason
Hello,
Would like some advice regarding the eventual replacement of my used up disc
pads and disc *front*.
I heard that it's better to have first quality as for the brake pads
themselves (ceramic composition) and on the disc it's possible to use a
lower 2nd grade type disc....
Thanks!!

changing gear ratio in 4g civic? by
[email protected]
I've been busy upgrading my 88 hatch- my 1st Honda, bought maybe 3
months ago. Thought I'd finally focus on the drivetrain some, and
figured the 4-speed tranny would be the 1st thing to go. I
guessed/assumed that the typical 4G civic 5-speed tranny would NOT be
close-ratio, would likely have a...

Changing inner tie rod end on 96 Civic by
[email protected]
Does anyone have any advice on changing an inner tie rod end on a 95
civic. I bought one at AutoZone and it comes with a strange little
tabbed washer. I'm not sure what to do with that. My manual and the on-
line version on AutoZone does not address the inner tie-rod. I'm
getting the special tool...

Changing oil on a '94 Accord LX by
R. P.
I've never done the oil change on it myself as I could not even see from
the top where the drain plug and the filter is. As I had to change the
ATF recently that turned out easier than I originally thought it would
be, I took another look at the oil drain plug and filter from under the
car...

Changing the air filter on a 2005 Civic Si by
John Smith[_1_]
I'm not much of a car mechanic but changing air filters was never that hard
in other cars I've owned. Looking at my 2005 Civic Si it seems to be
slightly complicated.
Has anyone replaced one of these filters or have any tips on how to do it?
Thanks.

Changing Timing belt by
[email protected]
89 civic. I went to a shop and asked about the leaking.
The man told me it is the engine oil is leaking not coolant.
He said it's about $400 to fix the timing belt, camshaft seal
and water pump. I asked him it's bit expensive for 16 yr old car.
He said that he used a good part and warned me not to...

Changing timing belt -- CIVIC 98 by
disallow
there is a marking on the engine block for where
the crank pulley needs to be, and the camshaft
should have a marking on it that should be at 90
degrees to the top of the engine.

Changing Timing Belt 1999 Accord V6 by
Mike Wright
Is there anything much different about changing the V6 timing belt than the
four cylinder. On the 4 cyl the biggest issue was getting the drive belt
pulley nut loose. Does the 1999 v6 still have the hexagonal cutout in the
pulley to hold it? Thanks in advance

Cheated out - please help by
LostinGA
I bought a 1995 Honda Accord from my neighbor in March 2003. I did not
run any carfax or anything because I trusted the guy as he told me
that nothing was wrong with the car. Also, he was driving it daily and
we had a good friendly relation.
I got this car for $3500, the Blue Book value on this car...

Check Engine - Code 0420 by
phelper
Howdy, I have a 99 Civic EX. It's got about 122,000 miles on it.
Recently the 'Check Engine' light came on, and I had AutoZone pull the
code for me.
The Lady told me.... "Bank 1... 0420.... Catalyst efficiency below
threshold."
So far, from basic searches on the web, I am assuming it's either...

Check engine light by
[email protected]
Hi All,
How do I turn off the check engine light? The car won't pass inspection
with it on. I tried disconnecting the battery but nothing happened. I
found some check engine code readers/erasers on EBay here
http://stores.ebay.com/OneSmartMove
Has anyone tried similar one?
Thanks,

Our 2004 Accord flashed 10 times. I know I looked this up somewhere before
but can't find it again. What is the diagnostic for 10 flashes?
Thanks
