Replacing 97 SC2 Thermostat by
jimhigh66
I noted my daughters '97 SCII 4 Cyl temp is just barely getting up to the
1/4 mark (and not putting out a lot of heat) & I suspect the thermostat
needs to be replaced. Can someone tell me where it's located on that car?
By the way, I just replaced the original front rotors and pads at 181K
miles....

Changing remote start battery by
[email protected]
The remote start/entry key fob for my 2007 Aura is dead. my guess is the
battery. Can the battery be replaced in these things? I can't seem to open it
up. Luckily I Have a second which still works. This is my fourth Saturn and the
first time the remote died. Thanks.

The warning bell on my 96 Saturn blasts away in spite of the
headlights not being on. Anybody out there to tell me where to get to
that bell so I can disconnect it?
Thanks.
I have enjoyed my little double-cammed 4-banger. I have replaced
starter, alternator, and water pump by jacking her up and...

Just got two letters (GM and my Saturn Dealer) by
Slightly Graying Wolf
Last week (actually on the same day) I received a letter from GM Canada and
one from my Saturn Dealer. GM wanted to assure me they will be backing my 5
year warrantee and the 3 year bumper to bumper, but that I could continue to
have my car serviced at the Saturn dealer until the end of the...

Truly a study contrasting the inteligent against the idiots and the

Saturn Headlights by
lil abner
We have an 07 Saturn Ion.
The high beams are lower than the low beams on our other vehicles.
Low beams are ridiculous.
I've repeatedly asked Saturn to readjust them.
They say they can't. Other times they say they have adjusted them.
We feel like we are taking a risk driving at night.
How do you...

choice of muffler for SC2 1999 ? by
Alex .
Hi all,
My original muffler rusted through and I am looking for replacement.
I am looking for a quality muffler, which is not expensive. I do not
care about "sport exhaust" sound.
I came across Kool-Vue brand mufflers. The price is good, but I never
heard anything about this brand before.
Anybody...

rebadging dealerships by
Oppie[_7_]
Passed by Saturn of White Plains (NY) today. The familiar Saturn logo was
replaced by a temporary 'Buick GMC' sign.
Last year, on the other side of town, Sholz Buick, a long time presence
here, went belly-up.
On another note, in a nearby town, Harrison NY...

Saturn SL2 warning Lights for temp and fluids by
Bill[_28_]
I have seen the warning lights on my 98 SL2 blink on and off a few times
while driving and then go off. The temp is fine and the fluid levels are
normal? Does anyone know what would cause this? I have 190000 miles on the
car.

2002 SL very hard shifting 2/3 gears? by
Leythos[_2_]
Was looking at a used Saturn 2002 with 140K on it for one of my kids and
the thing really slammed into 3rd gear (automatic transmission) and less
hard into 2nd....
Driving was smooth when not shifting, no slipping could be detected
while accelerating....
Any ideas?

Door lock switches on 1996 SW-2 - difficult? by
marcodbeast
Hi all, I'm back again with another silly question. How tough should
replacing the driver's side door lock switches on my '96 SW-2 be? The door
looks like it might come open fairly easily, but I'm partially disabled and
don't want to try it myself if I'm liable to get stuck halfway through.

replacing wheel after replacing brake pads by
Mephistopheles Jones
I just replaced my front brake pads on a '96 SL1. After screwing the
calipers in place, I noticed they now stick out away from the car and
there is not enough room to put the wheels back on. I pressed the
brake a few times (the first press was just air) and the problem is
still there. Any...

Gave my Saturn away by

I gave my 97 SL2 to my adult daughter. It has 210,000 miles, and I was
the original owner. She and her BF love the car. Still runs good,
although the A/C clutch died this past winter (somebody on Saturnfans
web site suggested using the serpentine belt for the non-A/C, and that
worked...
