Cooling Fan Melted -- Why? ('92 Mazda 626) by
Hamish WAUGH
I have repeatedly melted the cooling fan on my '92 Mazda 626 even
though the cooling system seems to be working correctly otherwise.
(Temperature guage stays in appropriate range. Fan cuts in and out at
apparently appropriate times. etc.) Obviously the fan is getting
hotter than it is expected...

Cooling fan problem - renault by
[email protected]
I have a 93 Renault with a cooling fan that doesn't come on even after
the temp gauge lamp does. The fan runs fine if i hook it directly to
the battery, so the motor's good. I've replaced the thermoswitch on the
radiator and this didn't solve the problem. and i can't find any
obvious problems with...

Cooling system bubbles, help! by
Metalaid
I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with a V6 engine.
About a month and a half ago, my radiator cracked at the top so I
changed it for a new one. As I did and started up my car to take it
home, I noticed that the water in the radiator reserve tank was being
sucked into the engine very quickly. The...

Cooling system problem by
BobW
I have an 89 Ford Aerostar with a 3.0 engine. The cooling system is giving
me all kinds of headaches. It overheated, I think because of a thermostat
gasket. At least that's where I found the stream of steam coming from.
After replacing the gasket I now have a problem of running out of...

Cooling system stop leak, best? by
J J
What water cooling system stop leak do you consider best? I have tried
the one with little silver or copper shavings in clear liquid. It
didn't work. Then I tried the Barrs stop leak. Comes in silver bottle
but it makes the radiator fluid look very brown.
Several older men sai hat using about...

cooling system woes with S-10 by
RB
Got a '97 Chevy S-10 pickemup that is losing coolant from the cooling system
frequently. Had a water pump go out a couple years ago, so doubt it's
that. Besides which the temp just went on over like it would peg out if I
didn't shut down, with the water pump problem.
I note that everytime I...

Cooling System Woes...Need Help by
LauraG
I have a '73 Ford E100 van. I tried to repair a small leak with stop leak,
but after two minutes, I had to turn off the engine because of a larger
hole that opened up. I flushed the system with water and replaced the
radiator. I found a metal like substance in the thermostat housing...

Cordless impact wrench & Goodyear impact wrench by
[email protected]
I am considering a cordless impact wrench. Seems like a good idea, but
the good ones like Ingersoll Rand or Milwaukee are very expensive.
I am considering the Goodyear electric impact wrench. Pepboys has it on
sale for 79.99 with rebate. I am concerned that the impact wrench will
self destruct...

Cork Gaskets by
mbjj
I'm replacing the oil pan gasket on my 1.0 L metro and I will be
using a cork gasket. I've had several people tell me not to use
silicone with it and I've had some tell me to go ahead. I also
have a tube of RTV sealant that I had planned on using for a
bead seal with the cork gasket. What will...

Corolla 2006 bumpy ride (continued) by
Dan[_6_]
Well, I experienced a bit with the tire pressure - I set it to 28 PSI
(instead of the recommended 32).
The ride comfort improved noticeably.
So, this leads me to the conclusion that even a slight increase in
tire pressure, like after driving for a while,
gives a bumpier ride on this car.
It seems...

Corolla A/C cycling intervals by
Dan[_6_]
The A/C condenser on my '95 Toyota Corolla had a leak so I got it
replaced. The shop also replaced the receiver-drier.
Now the A/C compressor seems to cycle on/off more frequently (about 10
seconds on/off) at idle with the fan on low.
Can anyone tell if this is normal?
What are normal cycling times...
