GE Nighthawk headlamps for Mazda Protege OK? by [email protected]
I have a 2000 Mazda Protege ES Headlamp is burnt out so went shopping for a lamp. Boy is the technology changed a lot! Not sure what to buy So I bought the GE Nighthawk 9003 lamps. Are they OK with my small car? Or will they get so hot as to melt something or cause fire? Opinions please?

gear shift problem? transmission problem? by [email protected]
I have a 2000 Mazda Protege, automatic. I've been having a problem with my gear shift; at least, I think that's what the problem is. Whenever it's fairly cool (less than 60 degrees) and dark outside, my car won't shift out of park. It's as if it doesn't realize that I have my foot on the brake....

Hello all, I'm sorry to post that the gearbox of my nissan micra is functioning alarmingly difficultly. It seems something is wrong with 3rd gear, but only when passing from 3rd to neutral or to all other gears ( I didn't try from 3rd to reverse ;-) but in that case it wouldn't come as a surprise...
