Getting the right transaxle fluid put in by
[email protected]
Hello,
I asked this over on the Mitsubishi group, but didn't get a very big
response. I have an 03 Mitsubishi Outlander. I recently got the
transmission flushed at 30k. When I went in, the recommended fluid that
showed on their computer was Diamond SP III, which is what the manual
calls for. I...

Ghost in a Ranger Radio by
C. E. White[_2_]
This is an odd one -
My Mother has a 9 year old Ranger that she uses around our farm. It is no
longer an everyday truck, and is driven only 20 or 30 miles a week. Recently
the radio stopped consistently turning off when the ignition is switched
off. Sometimes it goes off sometimes it does not....

Glass mounted window regulator channels? by
Steve W.
Just got off the phone with a guy who owns a '90 K2500 Chevy P/U. He
said he hit a bump and both windows dropped into the doors. I had him
look into the door and he says he can see the regulator moving but the
channels are rusted. Looking in my crash book and on a couple parts
sites and the...

Global Warming and what you can do to against it by

Dear All,
As you know global warming is endangering the future of life on the
planet. It will also affect us;

waves, stoppage of the gulfstream, which
brings milder climate to north of Europe, super hurricanes, less food

Glow Plugs by
[email protected]
Do glow plugs wear out like a spark plug or just go out like a light?
To rephrase can a glow plug still have continuity but be less effective
than a new one?

I have an '84 Sierra with a 400 small block in it. Its from a '72 so
its low compression, but I am having problems with glowing headers. I

I put the distributor back in but I put it in exactly where it was
before. I had it...

gluing glass to neoprene? by
micky
I need to glue glass to neoprene or maybe it is is some other black,
glossy, flexible, rubber-looking substance. What glue etc. should I
buy?
Is it worth trying to rough up the glass? If so, should I use
sandpaper, emery paper, etc?
I don't know yet if I can clamp the two things together.

gluing weatherstrip together? by

molded corners hasn't been available for years, if it ever was, so I'm
trying to come up...

GM 12 bolt axle bearings question by
[email protected]
Hi all.
Vehicle is a 1975 Chevy 3/4 ton truck with a regular 12-bolt rear axle.
It's making a grinding noise that's dependent on wheel speed, so I
imagine it's one or more of the bearings that hold up the axleshafts
and/or differential. (Jacked up rear of truck, left trans in park,
spun wheels so...

GM 1970s airbags? by
[email protected]
GM made a limited run of Chevrolet fleet cars with "ACRS" way back in 1973,
7 years before the Europeans had airbags. Then in 1974 it was offered on
Cadillacs and Buicks as an option for people who hated seat belts.
But then what happened? Did few people order those airbags, and they
faded away...
