ECU value for O2 Sensor by Steve Gibbs
My understanding is that if your O2 sensor fails, the ECU replaces the values it should receive from it (0-1v) with a default value. My question is, what is the value the ECU uses?

GM 3400 V6 thermostat replacement - how'd you get the rear bolt out?! by Bryan
I'm getting some pretty erratic temeperature readings and no heat whatsoever on my 97 Trans Sport Montana, so I think it's thermostat time... If you're not familiar, the thermostat housing on the 3400 is directly below the throttle body and right smack next to the exhaust crossover for the front...

Looking for Xtra Loud Signal Flasher by LoadHawg
The car I've started driving recently (84 Pontiac) has a dead quiet turn signal indicator. Either I'm getting old or maybe I'm used to the 'click' or chime on my other/previous cars but I seem to often forget to cancel the darn thing. Soooo anybody know of some sort of simple aftermarket flasher...

saab 9000 cuts out by [email protected]
My saab 9000 2.0 injection 1992, cuts out while I'm driving, there is no indication it is going to cut out, just stops, as if I've turned off the ignition. When I pull over and try to start, it turns over fine but will not catch at all ? I wait for a period of time, approx 5-10 mins and then it...

Can stored springs lose lift? by [email protected]
I'm "upgrading" my suspension from a Sentra SE springs to Sentra SE-R springs - I've found a set that a gent has stored in his garage from 1997. I thought I had read somewhere that suspension springs can lose their ability to lift if stored for a long period of time, and a search of Google/Usenet...

Hello again. 88 Pontiac 6000 2.5 4Tech 127K miles. Friday, the alternator light came on. Wife stopped by trusted mechanic who fiddles under hood and asks if light went out... no... then it's the alternator. She tells him I can do that and continues home.

chevy prizm early bulb burnout by [email protected]
Hi everyone, I have a 2002 Chevy Prizm with about 25,000 miles. The right headlight burned out today. In my limited car ownership experience (3 cars from 1978 to present), it's too soon to have bulbs burning out, and I'm wondering if it indicates some sort of problem or pattern with the model...

1991 Toyota Tercel - Compression test too high by Daniel Beardsley
1991 Toyota Tercel Ok, I've done a compression test several times on this car in the last week or two and I'm getting numbers that are way too high. I'm doing it properly from what I can tell, but I must be missing something. I'm getting between 190 and 200 PSI, which means a compression ratio...
