1992 Accord Dead~Not the Battery! by
The Doctor
Was out shopping this morning and noticed when I started my '92 Accord
it sounded 'tired' kindof like the batt was low (it wasn't) Did a few
more errands, maybe 4-5 on/off cycles, and went home. 6 hours later in
my driveway, attempted to start her up and -nothing- lights & buzzer
are strong, but...

Code readers and all the available options by
stryped[_2_]
Hi,
I would like to purchase a good code reader that will work with my
current and future vehicles. I am not a newbie and know about cars.
(not as much as you guys however).
Anyway, I have been reading about the different functions and not sure
what they mean. Some have "o2 tests" which I assume...

Where is pcv valve on 1987 Lincoln Town car? by
J J
The oil change places and I cannot find the pcv valve on the 5.0 liter
engine on a Lincoln Town Car. (I assume it would be the same on 87 Ford
Crown Victoria)
They say its somewhere on back of engine close to fire wall. We cannot
see it, and there is not enough space between firewall and...

permanent removal of theremostat by
Brent
I live in a tropical country and what is the long term effect of
permanently removing the theremostat in a sedan?
I understand that the thermostat regulates the waterflow from and to
the engine and the radiator, is this correct ?

VIN + cut key = stolen car ??? by
Conase
I was sent the email below about a "new method" for stealing cars.
Now I know the "good guys" are not that stupid and that there is MORE to
getting a key made under the conditions below.
When you go to a dealer to get a key cut, I am sure they will ask for your
LICENSE and VIN .
What else ???
The...

Mercedes Benz parts problem by
[email protected]
I need a little help finding some car parts for my uncle. He's looking
for ignition and fuel systems for a 1987 Mercedes Benz 190 and a 1975
Mercedes Benz 450 SEL (I think).
I can't seem to find these on Google (perhaps I'm not using the right
search terms) and I was hoping maybe someone knows of...

Brad nailer and tire inflator tank, dangerous? by
Leroy Mowry
This pneumatics brad nailer calls for 55-100-psi, the 5G tank
supplies 120-psi. The instructions on the side of the tank says, "do
not use on pneumatics tools." It didn't say anything about single shot
nailers. The laws of physics yet is prove itself. But if anyone see
an imminent tank explosion...

ID'ing a bad Supercharger? by
Mardon
Short Version:
Is there an easy way for a driver to tell if a supercharger is not
working properly? How likely is it that a supercharger problem would
not be found by the dealer if one of their vehicles were brought back
several times with a complaint of "loss of power"?
Full Version:
We have...

Tempo/Topaz front motormount / swaybar help please by

Greetings,
I am doing my first '89 Tempo/Topaz motor mount replacement. It's the
one under the battery/airbox on the drivers side. I have removed the
rubber part, but cannot get a good grip on the three 13mm bolts that
hold the top metal half to the automatic transmission. My tools are all
either...

My speedometer/odometer (Electronic Dash) went out and now the
transmission shifts hard. I narrowed it down to the vehicle speed
sensor, but I can't find it. There is a sensor on the rear
differential, but it completely different from the new VSS I have in my
hand. I assume it is an ABS sensor. I...

hI aLL! what lateral g-force can old cars achieve? by
longtrennguoi
A modern vanilla sedan can do 0.9 g, maybe more with good tyres.
I saw a video on Youtube of some guy fitting a triangulated 4-link
suspension
to some chrome-bumper car, and managed to get 0.52 g on cornering,
which seems rather poor. Must have had sh*t tyres. Sorry, I haven't
been
able to find it...
