unfortunate event, and is unlikely to be the result of age; however,
this does occur infrequently. To avoid theft and ensure passenger

Ihave an 07 impala with the tpms. Dealer service advisor could not be

s10 obd2 operation by
38racing
2002 S10. MIL has gone on/off a few times. Bought a cheap code reader.
With light on it had a p0137 and a pending p0137 (bank1 sensor2 oxygen
sensor lean condition). Manual says MIl will go off after 3 ignition
cycles that the P0137 test passes. MIL has now gone off, but the
reader still shows the...

coolant level in 07 impala by
38racing
My 02 s10 has rad cap on the rad and overflow hose located there which
runs to the bottle. If I remove the cap (cold) there is usuallly
coolant right there near the tube outlet. My 07 impala has the rad
filler cap over on the engine block , again with a hose there to the
bottle. If I remove the cap...

38racing
2002 4.3. Dealer changed gasket first time, then changed the outlet
(said it was cracked). Now warranty has expired 8 months ago and it has
about 38k on it and it's leaking again.I expect that if I asked GM to
fix it they'll say sorry , out of warranty.
I can see the leak at a point about midway...

Cam specs by
51_racing
Does anyone know what this cam is?
Part numbers on it are 12-241-5 the letters CC and R on it, and H1228-06?
Looks to me like a Comp cams lift rule cam for oval track but I can't
find the exact specs, looking for duration at .050" and lobe separation
mostly, I already know it's a .420"...

GM Full spool? by
51_racing
Does someone know if anyone makes a full spool for the GM 7.5" rear end?
I know there are several manufacturers for the mini spools, but can't
find a full spool and don't really want to weld the rear either.

Pontiac 350? by
51_racing
I am looking into building a pontiac 350 for a guy and need some help
from a pontiac expert if there's any in this group.
1st, are the pontiac "big blocks" all the same block?
I notice the 350 and the 389 share the same stroke, could a 350 block be
bored to become a 389?
2nd, anyone know where to...

Engine specs website? by
51_racing[_2_]
Anyone know of a good engine spec website? Looking for machining
dimensions. Bore and stroke are easy enough, but things like deck
height, main and rod journals, small rod end size etc.
Or a book somewhere out there if nothing exists on the web.
Thanks.
