Houston Bay Area Honda Technician by
Enrico Fermi
Wife's '98 Civic "engine" light illuminated and she took the car to the
local Honda franchise. The service writer mistakenly phoned me and shared
his concerns about her muffler bearings and warped rotors. Discretion being
the better part of valor, I didn't get involved. The car is fixed, but it...

We recently bought a 2001 Accord EX couple 2-door with 3.0L V6 and

myself, I was wondering if anyone knows the maximum speed of this
vehicle? Just scientifcally curious. Thanks.

2001 Accord EX seat problem by
Enrique Gonzales
I have a 2001 Accord EX 2-door coupe with leather seats. When you
pull the passenger seat back forward, the seat "unlocks" and moves
forward to allow access to the back seat. At first, the seat would
occasionally fail to "lock" back into position. Now, it is very
difficult to get it to lock at...

I have a 2001 Accord EX V6 coupe, which I bought used with a single

purchased another keyfob and starting trying to add the second.
At first, when adding the new keyfob, after the programming sequence,
only the fob whose Lock...

Difference in 98-00 and 01-02 Accord EX fobs by
Enrique Gonzales
I just bought a 2001 Accord EX V6 and thought I would purchase an
extra remote for the alarm/doors/trunk. I was told that there are two
models of remote for the EX: one for the years '98 to '00, and another
for the years '01-'02. That the earlier would not operate the trunk
release. Is this...

97 Accord Trans Fluid Change? by
Enuf4me
A couple of questions:
1) Does the 97 accord AT just have a drain plug to change fluid? Any filter?
2) I was told to use Genuine Honda ATF and not NAPA or other generic brands.
Any Thoughts?

97 Accord Tuneup? by
Enuf4me
Would like to put new pvc valve, distributor cap, plug wires, plugs, oxygen
sensors on 97 Accord 2.2 SOHC 16 valve. Of all I have been reading, it looks
as though the OEM parts are the way to go. Any thoughts? Anything special to
look for in changing above? Did I miss anything? Weekend mechanic only

Don't want a Civic b/c it's too ugly by

I like my '92 model Civic EX but it's way to old (166k miles). I just
replaced the distributor and have a feeling other things will
"suddenly" start going out at the red light or where ever else is most
inconvenient. I was planning to get a brand new Civic but after
looking at the newer models,...
