mail order parts by
Ed Overly
Anyone having good luck with mail order Honda parts? I ordered four
oil filters and a bulb from Majestic Honda for a total of $20.82.
Then they charged me $4.95 for handling and $8.22 for freight. I
thought this was pretty outrageous! I called Hparts recently and they
didn't answer the phone.

Actually, no. They are trying to sell a product and have a skilled
workforce to accomplish that goal.
The unions did not design and build the turds the marketing...

Question about mp3 Player add-on for Accord by
[email protected]
I have found a copy of the manual for Honda's mp3 accessory, which is
available for the 2005, 2006 Accords. The good news, for me :), is it
has a random mode which enables play of all your songs in a folder (up
to the folder's 255 file max.) in a random manner and you can have 100
folders. But...

ignition immobilized? by
ed2007
Recently bought a 2004 Honda Accord -- this morning the ignition was
immobilized when I put the key in to turn the engine. I tried the spare
key with the same result -- so I guessed the key didn't need recoding.
Then a passerby "showed me a trick" and did something to fix it (put the
key in the...

New car buying info by

When is the best time to get the lowest price on a new car?
So you've heard that there are "soft spots" in vehicle merchandising,
industry secrets about when dealers will absolutely sacrifice profit, pride
and practical business sense to move machinery at any price. You've heard
these rumors,...

92 Accord Soft? Brake Pedal by
eddie
Hi,
I see the following behavior on my '92 Accord:
- Brakes seem to function normally. Car comes to a complete stop with
a moderate amount of pressure on the brake pedal. At this point the
pedal is not 'on the floor'.
- At this point, if I maintain the same pedal pressure as was required
to stop...

transmision problem? by
Eddie G
My wife's 1999 Accord has this situation. When accelerating at a
normal pace and the engine (automatic) shifts into 3rd gear and you
then push your foot down to pass (i.e. getting on the expressway) and
the engine down-shifts into second gear, there is a slight hesitation
with the engine still...

oil in high milage car by
Eddie G
My wife's Accord as 90,700 miles on it. When we get the oil changed
what kind should we get? We get it changed every 3k/3months
religiously but for the last year or so I have been using the premium
oil. Should I save my money and use regular, continue the premium, or
use the high milage...

98 Accord Power window/door lock problem by

My power door locks have stopped working all together in my 98 accord along with the drivers power window switchs for the passenger side of the car (front and rear). I can control the windows on the drivers side of the car from the drivers seat, but not any of the other windows. I'm not sure what...

92 Accord Engine Floods? After Running For A Short Time by
[email protected]
Hi,
If I only run my accord for a minute or so (i.e. do not let it warm up)
and then shut it off, it has trouble starting the next time I try to
start it. The trouble ranges from 1) starting normally, then idling
roughly for a minute or so, and then running normally to 2) starting
and then quickly...

2004 Accord vs 2007 civic by
[email protected]
I am looking at two cars:
1) 2004 Accord EX I4 with 30k, AT
2) 2007 Civic EX AT
They are roughly the same price. I had 1995 Civic die on me--needs new
transmission, and I decided this is just a time to get a new ride.
I have driven the Civic, but not the Accord. The one thing I did not
like...

Carburetor options/retrofit '87 Honda Accord by
edmacatack
Hi: I just bought an '87 Accord, and I found out it needs a new carb.
The carb replacement is very expensive. It is listed as a Holly Carb.
Does anyone know of any other carburetors I could use in place of the
factory issued part, that will more than likely cost me a lot less than
the...

$100 Gas Voucher by
[email protected]
I just discovered this new site that's giving away a $100 gas voucher,
for free!
Can you believe the price of gas these days?
In my area it's currently over $4.75 per gallon, and all signs point
to it going even higher, very soon. I remember the days when gas used
to cost $0.99 per gallon, but...

Trying to Install Amps/Subs by

Alrighty, I've been having problems installing my Amps/Subs. I have 2
Sony Xplod 12 Inch Subs, 1200 Watts, and 2 Sony Xplod 1200 Watt Amps. I
connected all the wires, and then turned it on. Nothing. The Subs
didn't turn on. I moved both Subs onto 1 Amp, and when I started the
car, the Blue...

Last month I went on vacation for 3 weeks, during this time it rained like

The next day the car wouldn't start. I pulled out the battery and...

Ridgeline radio by
ed[_4_]
My 06 Ridgeline has developed an AM only radio problem. Just the slightest
imperfection in the road causes severe radio static, all stations affected.
FM is not affected at all. Reception is perfect when not moving, and
distance to the transmitter doesn't matter. Anyone ever heard of this...

Ridgeline radio update by
ed[_4_]
My excellent Honda dealer fixed my AM radio problem, or so it seems today.
Per 05-005 they installed an upgrade to the coaxial harness. They said if
this doesn't work there is one more upgrade they will perform. It appears it
is going to work fine at this time. Thanks to Tegger for the help.
