Price fixing among tire manufacturers by
Ted Mittelstaedt
Hi All,
I've been recently looking for tires (size 205-70-15) and I am finding
among the retailers that for the mileage I'm looking for (80K) and
the UTQGS ratings (treadwear 700, traction A, Temp B) that the
prices are virtually identical. The biggest difference is pricing for the
road hazard...

Revitalized Malibu Takes on Accord and Camry by
[email protected]
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Comparos/articleId=124091
I agree that the Accord is still the gold standard, hard to beat in
the midsize group. The new GM Hydramatic 6T/6L series is a very good
transmission, but Malibu's ergonomics need a few iterations, like the
way of Cadillac CTS....

What about these gifts to Toyota by
Tim[_16_]
I don't think this is a loan, is it? It is giving Toyota the money to
pay these workers wages for 7 or 8 years, from the taxpayer and workers
themselves. This is what has to stop.

new Honda CR-V break in by
Guy[_2_]
I got a new 2010 CR-V and wife asked me how to break it in properly.
What is the proper way?
I don't care what the manual says. What do you guys feel is the best
mileage to do the first oil change? I normally change my oil and
filter around 3500 miles on my other cars with no synthetic.

Honda "Drive by Wire" question... what if the power goes out? by
David E. Powell
Hi there.
I have been looking at the new Honda Civic, it's pretty sweet, and the
welds and everything are as nice as anything I have ever seen. I just
have a question about the "Drive by wire" system that they are supposed
to have.
What happens if the Engine dies on you? In my current car, my...

Import owners are to blame for the recession by
[email protected]
If all Americans bought American cars, the US economy would be rockin
and rollin right now. Don't give me that stuff about Toyota and Honda
manufacturing over here either. GM employs 130,000 in the United
States. Toyota employs 30,000, Honda less than that. Most of the
import jobs are just blue...

Consider buying American! by
[email protected]
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23124844/
GM just made it known that they lost 39 billion in 2007, the largest
ever annual loss for a US automaker.
The big three are losing money, and if we don't give them the support
they need, they are going to go under. Consider buying an American
car.
Here are...
