new Honda Accord Vs old Honda Accord by
PD
Hi everybody
I am planning to buy a Honda Accord LX V6 (in December-04)
My question is:
1. Should I buy a 2004 or 2005?
2. They say that you should never buy a new car because of the
depreciation. Do you think a 2003 or a 2002 LX V6 for 17000$ and 17K
miles is worth it?

No heat at low rpms by
[email protected]
Car is a 1990 Integra. I live in a cold climate (eastern Canada). After
a cold start, engine warms up normally, just idling (a bit slow IMO but
it's always been like that). Driving around with the engine warmed, up
the heater puts out lots of heat (normal).
Problem is after the engine is warmed...

everything you typed describes a switch problem. best to replace with
new, since junkyard civics will already have some wear and pitting on
the contacts.

1991 Civic warm up time by
[email protected]
This is the 3rd winter I have owned this 1991
Civic. The first winter I owned it I replaced
the OEM thermostat because it took way too long
to warm up, and on really cold (-12F) days, the
engine temp gauge dipped when I would run the
heater wide open. It hasn't been that cold since
so I don't know...

96 Civic iPod install question by
daveydave
I've run into a bit of a snag and perhaps someone here can offer up
some advice:
So I'm installing a PIE Hon/AUX adapter in my 96 Civic and I removed my
dashboard and pulled out both my radio headunit as well as the CD
player (which is mounted down near the cupholders) in hopes of finding
the port...

Rust on brakes in new Accord by
Mike
Hi,
I just bought a new 2005 Accord coupe EX V6 (manual transmission) and
noticed that there's rust all over the rims of the brakes as well as a
couple of other components in that area (but not on the brake surfaces
themselves). Needless to say, I'm not very happy about this. Does
anybody have any...

2000 Civic stalled, engine light on by
Kevin
I was driving my 2000 Civic on the highway and it slowly ran down and
stalled (pressing accelerator didn't give it gas). It was -20 degrees
at the time, but the car had been started in a warm garage and was
running fine up til then - engine was at proper temperature. The gas
tank was just under 1/8...

SRS light on: Is this a warranty item on an out of warranty car? by
Rick
I have a 2000 Accord EX 6 cyl. with 62,000 miles on it. My SRS light
came on a few days ago. I took it to my local Honda shop (not the
dealer). Their diagnostics test showed: "Code 09-3 Driver's Seat
Belt Switch Failure. Suggest return to dealer for check out under
Honda Warranty."
Now I...

91 Civic intermittent problems -Symptoms update by
Sean
This question is for a 91 Civic HB with 190K.
The first symptoms were engine misfiring and car jerking when I hit the gas,
occasionally. Then I started having intermittent starting problems. Engine
turns but won't start. It happened when the car was cold or warm. Dash
lights work and I can hear the...

Searching for an SUV, over the past three weekends my wife and I test
drove several models. We haven't come to a final decision yet and
would appreciate some input. We want a new small to medium sized SUV
below 25k (us dollars) (below 23k is preferable). My wife and I drive

2002 Accord V6 only 12 mpg by
Red98
My daughter's 2002 Accord EX V6 Sedan has suddenly dropped down to 12 mpg.
Dealer said nothing wrong--of course, car had 35,600 miles on it. It's now
over the 36K warranty, but the previous complaint should help keep the issue
alive under warranty. Also, the radio control buttons on the steering...

Civic Ex auto locks - has this happened to anyone? by
Acertaingirl
Last week I washed and waxed my 2004 Civic EX for the first time. As I was
running the towel over the car near the rear door lock, all 4 locks were
triggered closed. Can static electricity cause this to happen? Luckily the
keys weren't in the car or I would have been locked out (temporarily...

1990 Honda Accord door won't open or unlock by

My girlfriend recently bought a used 1990 Accord and now the driver's side
door won't open. It has power locks, but no matter how you unlock/lock it
(power, with key, manually) the locking mechanism doesn't seem to disengage
on the driver's side door even though the button moves up and down on...

sealing hydraulic connections by
Abeness
Hydraulic connections (e.g. clutch, brakes) are self-sealing, right? No
compound for fear of contaminating the hydraulic fluid, and no
anti-seize for the same reason?

slightly different oil-change question by

I know this subject is beaten to death, but my situation is a little
different. 2004 Civic LX purchased June 28. Severe driving is 5,000
miles/6 months, but, while my driving is severe (almost all city stop and
go), there is very little of it. I am coming up to 6 months and only have
3,000 miles...

how does use car warranty work? (j) by
[email protected]
I'm thinking of buying a used Honda civic. It has a dealer
2000 miles/2 months warranty.
Let's say I want to have my timing belt replaced because it's a used
car and I don't know the previous owner's maintenance. Would the
warranty cover my request ASAP or would they only
replace only if the...
