'02 Pontiac Grand Am GT Engine Temp Rise when Idling by [email protected]
After driving with the engine warmed up to normal temp (around 200), when i get stuck in traffic or at stop lights my engine temp slowly inches up to the 230-250+ range. I've had a new thermostat installed and had the coolant flushed, but it still does it. The only thing that seems to lower the...

'02 Saturn SC1 Brake Lights by why, me
How are the brake lights activated? The high level stop works but the brake/rear tail lights are not operating. Had them flash once while I was testing to see if anything was working. I know it is possible that both lights are burned out but filament looks good.

'02 Sentra recall for engine replacement? by Williams
I'm looking at a used Sentra SE-R 2002. The seller claims the engine was replaced 15,000 miles ago under a recall. My searching for a recall on the '02 Nissans doesn't show anything like that. It makes me wonder if I am being misled. Thoughts? Thanks, Craig

'02 silverado rear brakes by mark
I just changed the rear pads and rotors and everything is lubed and working properly but I noticed when on the hoist and I hold the brake pedal all the way down and put it in drive and give it gas the rear wheels will turn, if I let off the gas they stop. Is this normal?

'03 Blazer (S-10) transmission removal - HEEEEELLPPP!!! :( by Philip Nasadowski
Ok, the wonderful 4L60E in my friend's Blazer popped the other week, and we're trying to extract the thing for a rebuild. Oddly, I thought the rebuild was going to be the hard part, but right now, we can't figure out how to get this silly thing out. Our big sticking point is getting at the...

'03 Chevy Cavalier loses power and Engine by [email protected]
Hi, I'm likely to ask my mechanic about this when I get my car inspected on Saturday, but I thought I would see what you all thought before then. My 2003 Cavalier has twice now completely shut off, (engine cuts, power steering and brakes go, console loses illumination and stereo) while going full...

2003 Sonata 2.4L 4 cylinder, 59,000 miles, I just bought it about a month ago. I am getting pinging, especially in hot weather, and my mileage should be better (I'm getting about 18 city, 26 highway, I thought I could get at least 20 city, and 30 or better on the highway). Does this sound like...

'04 Aveo Oil Light by soonersfan
Ok, my oil light came on and started blinking and then it just stayed on. The oil level is fine. Could this be caused by my oil sending unit or my oil pump? What do you think?:banghead: -- soonersfan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ soonersfan's Profile:...

'04 Cavalier fuel filter quick connect? by George[_23_]
'04 Cavalier. On the tank side of the filter, there's a quick connect. It has a colored plastic piece that looks to be an access cover, one end of which pops off. Under that, I can see metal pipe. Is there a tool (or a trick) for getting this released? Thanks, George

'04 cavalier: splice fuel line with rubber hose? by George[_23_]
'04 Cavalier has a leaking fuel filter. Freeing the nut on the pipe is not going well. I'm thinking to cut the pipe, fit a short stub to the new filter, and splice the stub to the cut pipe with rubber gas hose. Is this an 'OMG, don't do that!' thing??? Thanks, George

'04 Explorer, raps at start up, normal? by dahpater
A 2004 Eplorer XLT 4.0 (8th/K). After it sits over night, first start up, quick raps for about a second, then gone. Oil pressure is great while running. No raps/noises while running/revving/driving. Sit for 5/6 hours, does it again. The noise sounds like no oil to rod bearings. Is this the nature...

'04 Sable LS CD Player by Marv Soloff
One of the options listed for the '04 Mercury Sable LS (and its Ford Taurus sibling) is a six disc trunk mounted CD player. Question: Was the wiring harness for this option installed in all LS trim level Sables, and if so, where are they hiding the damn thing. Regards, Marv
