How to adjust windshield sprinkler in accord 2004 by Pszemol
When I try to wash the windshield in my accord coupe I see the stream of water hits the wiper blade, not the glass. Nowhere in the user manual I can find the procedure... It this the same as with other, older cars, that you can put some paper clip end to the sprinkler hole and move it? I would...

94 accord cranks but won't start by Matt
I am hoping somebody here can help me. I have a 94 accord EX with 250k km. I replaced the clutch 5 days ago, but when I took it off the jack-stands it would not start. The engine would turnover, but would not catch. I left it, and came back the next day- and it started fine. I went for a test...

US/Canada timing belt interval scam? by Bob Morris
In the US the recommended interval for timing belt change for a 91 Accord is 100,000 miles. Correct? In Canada it is 100,000 km. Correct? But, 100,000 miles = 160,000 km. Are Canadians being scammed? Forget about conditions.

Spare tire stuck. by Tim Zimmerman
I just had a flat tire. I get out, open the Civic trunk and find a spare tire, a jack and a lug wrench. Then I reach inside to grab the spare tire, it's stuck. Somehow the tire is bolted down with some kind of a rabbit ear nut. No matter how hard I try to twist it, the rabbit ears will not...

2000 Honda Civic Power Window Problem by [email protected]
I have a 2000 Honda Civic and my problem lies with the driver's side power window. It will roll down just fine, but when I attempt to raise the window, it is very slow - and at some times stops. The other windows in the car work just fine; the only problem is with the driver's side window. Has...

Brake Pad Thickness Variation Questions by Caroline
For the first time ever, I checked the thickness variation of my 1991 Civic's front brake rotors (NON-abs). I used a micrometer whose calibration I trust. It actually reads to the nearest 0.0001 inch, but I have rounded to the nearest 0.001 inch below. The minimum thickness required on these rotors...

2001 Accord LX-V6 - weird wheel tuff by George Earl
I have a 2001 Accord LX-V6 with standard wheel covers. Situation 1: About 2 months ago I noticed that the surface of the right front wheel cover was peeling and losing its silver and clear coat coating in spots outside the lug nut area. At first I thought I might have scraped up against...

Oil Change Frequency by Mel P.[_2_]
Up until I got my 2009 Civic, I would change oil in my cars every 3K miles. Now with the car's 'maintenance minder", it shows the oil life left which is 5-7K miles. If I REALLY can go by it, I have no problems. Just asking if it will wear the engine out quicker. thanks,

Why Not Let Honda Et Al. Take Over GM? by Elle[_4_]
Is any other Honda enthusiast struck by the U.S. Congress's and President's effort to shore up and nationalize companies that make terrible automobiles and have long promoted gluttony by consumers? Why not instead compel, one way or another, mergers with Honda, Toyota, and Subaru or Nissan...

90 accord stalling, code 41 43 by [email protected]
I had some lean stalling on the interstate then the computer threw a code, and everything was fine after that for few hundred miles. The code is 41 and 43. 41 is listed as O2 sensor and 43 as lean mix. Is the lean mix the cause or the effect of the O2 sensor code?

Tegger's new cat by Tegger[_2_]
A long time ago (in Internet terms) I posted saying my cat was rusty and I needed a new one. Well here it is. http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/misc/new_cat.jpg Ugly bugger, isn't it? It's a Walker. And I'm not impressed. My original rusty cat (with almost 300K on it) was still hotter on output...

They want to turn my rotors by Milleron
Hi, My '03 Accord EX has 35K mi., so I asked my local service center to check the brake pads when they were changing oil. They found (and showed me) about 10% remaining on the RF and 40% on the LF. Rears were fine. They suggested replacing the pads and TURNING the ROTORS. They say that one...

I've priced out almost everything I need to tweak my engine - new header, high flow cat, high flow muffler. And to save a few bucks on the shop installation - I was going to do the header myself. It's the pipe work / welding after the header I can't do. Is there any chance of damange to my engine...
