Backup Sensors All The Same?? (Repair) by gmark
I got one of my backup sensors mashed, and decided to stop by the local junkyard to get some replacements. The socket/connector (2003 Pontiac Montana) is slightly different on the ones I got from a later model. I can't imagine what benefit there might be for changing the connector so slightly...

Justifying an impact wrench for infrequent hobby use by AD[_2_]
I'm toying with an idea of spending $200 on a battery powered impact wrench (at sears.com or whatever). Aside from prying off the wheel bolts any other uses you could come up with to justyfy the purchase? I don't steal other people's rims for living hence I ponder if twice a year 30 something...

flat tired antiques by [email protected]
I've got a 1970 Chevy Malibu I need to unload soonest, and since the Pittsburgh vintage car thing is going on I just might succeed. When we winch cars with all flat old tires up onto a flatbed, how bad is that on the rims? Oh, and the original owner, Sig Hammer, invented the machine that found...

Integra fuel pump revival (1990) by mark
Car has been sitting for 5 yrs, I started it up every few months but last 2 times I had to tap the pump access cover to get it to pressure up, now no amount of tapping will get the pump to startup. Tank has always been almost empty so I assume it has dried up inside. Will rehydrating it with...

93 Altima stalling at random by mark
Engine stalls after 5-10 minutes just idling and won't start again for a few hours. Distributor was changed last year and I cannot see any oil leakage into the sensor area. Since changing the oil which was very dirty. it has not stalled but I can't believe that caused the problem. I just don't...

PO420 by klem kedidelhopper
We have a 2000 Olds Bravada. The car was really performing badly. We removed my converter as a test to see if this was the problem. The performance improvement I got after doing this was incredible. Gas mileage is improved about 15 percent as well. However now I have a code PO420 which I see is...

Trailblazer tie rod end removal problem by George[_23_]
My brother's '05 TB tie rods failed inspection. The first came off the knuckle, no problem. But, he can't get the rod thread to move in the adjuster sleeve. (He did loosen the jam nut.) It's not very rusty - the threads look pretty clean. We used moderate (propane) heat, and PB Blaster. So...
