Windstar fogging windows by
golden oldie
I tokk my Windstar to have the fogging window problem checked. Turns
out the cabin air filter was very dirty and needed changing. Not
something I even considered. When I was still working, 15 years, lowly
Fords didn't have such "accessories". Amazing how much more air the
heater produces now...

Weird brake noise by
John61
It's my 2001 Impala, 70K. When braking, I can hear kinda "bell ring" noise,
like a jack hammer is working somewhere far away. The harder the brake is
applied, the louder the noise. When car windows all closed, I can hardly
hear it.
What could be wrong?
Thanks.

I'm considering adding cruise control to this vehicle, It did not have
it from the factory, but there are some replacable covers on the
steering wheel where the switches would have gone. I was wondering if
the wiring harness exists in my car even though the cruise is not
installed. Couild I...

part time AWD with manual shift? by
james
Are there any cars with part-time AWD -- or more accurately "momentary AWD"
like the toyota rav4, or honda cr-v but with manual shift?
I currently have an all-time AWD car (a subaru). I enjoy the sure-footedness
on slick road and on ocassional snow. But there are several things I don't
like:

[email protected]
I have about a dozen or so brand new driver and passenger side airbags
for late 90's & early 00's Chrysler cars and trucks that I would like
to put up on Ebay. Unfortunately I have no idea which fit
what models. Question I have is, does anyone know of a
website or other source for identifying them...

Is this the breaks? by

2003 s-10 chevy blazer.
I'm trying to figure out if I need a break job. I don't think I've
ever had one.
Here's what happens.
If I drive the car for more than 30 minutes, while driving at low
speeds in the city, I feel some resistance at select points of the
wheels rotating even while not...

all who responded. Every problem has been resolved.
I now am replacing the AFM on my 1992 Sentra.
I would like to know if the part # must be the same.
The original is A36-000 B00.
I tried one from an auto recycler with # ...

6 stroke engines by
[email protected]
A six stroke engine is an automobile engine in which the piston of the
engine move up and down an additional time for each injection of fuel.
The engine, developed from 2004 to 2006, appears to be more fuel
efficient than a traditional four stroke engine. The currently famous
six stroke engine...

4l60e Rebuild and problem by
[email protected]
Hey guys
I just rebuilt the 4l60e in my 98 Suburban. I installed
the Transgo shift kit and used the master rebuild kit from Dacco and a
new torque converter. I also cleaned out the cooler and lines with the
can from Dacco and blew them out afterwards with compressed air.

The problem is that, occasionally (not everyday), when I drive it for

of minutes when the car comes to a stop e.g. at the traffic light. Or
