You know you've got a coralline problem when it is growing
on your Tang! ;)

Introduced a green bubble anemone a few days ago (after the rushing
around problem) and the clowns love it.

Only problem is that the anemone is exhibiting some strange light
related behaviour (see separate posting)

Do you have an anemone in your tank?
Mine used to do so until they got settled in Sarcophyton spp.

We left the tank at 5pm yesterday, fed the fish immediately before
leaving, got back at 7pm today (26 hours later), essentially having
skipped a feed (normally feed twice er day). Lights were on timer.

Fish all looked normal, fed them, then one of the clowns started
rushing around the tank madly (not seen this before). The other clown
started following. Other fish behaving normally, inverts all look OK.
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate all zero. SG had drifted up a bit to 1.022.

Clowns still rushing 2.5 hours later (though slowed a bit).

Ideas?

That can be it too. Clowns have really good "dog like" personalities. I
swear they wag their tails when you give them attention... Or at least
ours do..

Yes, like dogs - they bite! I have two maroon clownfish and the female
is really overprotective for their home (bubble tip anemone)...
It is enough I put my hand into the tank to move some rock - I am
charged many times by the female. Sometimes it really hurts...
Sometimes, when I do not expect it, I rush my hand out of tank
hiting my hand on canopy or the tank edge :-) Really aggressive fish!
No tail waggling in my tank, sorry... ;-)

Mine has bitten me on occasion, but it never hurt much.
