I meant like an auto feeder!
You program them and set them to go.

But feeding isn't the only problem. Should a filter fail due to a power
outage (not all restart themselves) or the outage lasts for over 12 hours
and the rotten foul mulm now in the filter enters the tank, there can be
serious problems. Someone really needs to check on the tanks every few
days.

I've had good and bad experiences with people caring for my fish while on
vacation. At this time we seldom leave home for more than a long weekend so
don't bother having anyone over to check on them.
