[Rainbows]

around here out creeks are full of them.
and blue eyes and damned gambusia!
Rainbows are good long lived fish and they loves their bloodworms

Rainbows are cool, but most are expensive in the US. But their cost and
novelty puts many customers off, so the fish have time to recuperate at
the
fish shop. I think that Celebes Rainbows with their little angel wing
pectoral fins are some of the most attractive fish around.

big fan of the praecox blues.
very pretty but I have had ****e luck at keeping them.

As for Gambusia, in these parts they're the backbone of the local
ecosystem.
I am sorry they have caused so much damage elsewhere.

yep those things are a backbone here too.
The digenetic trematodes espec love them as hosts. So good for necropsy,
find weird stuff.
The way our waterways are going tho, gambusia is prob the least of the
rainbowfishes probs.
Our citys are thirsty and the rivers have been used to irrigate the
farmlands.
The rainbows are tough tho, it's the big fish that die first.
Frankly I rate guppys, gambusia are a bit ugly although the speckled one is
kinda pretty. Would much rather have the creeks over run with trillions of
neon tetras though.
:-)
