I do indeed leave the lotuses in the pond all winter long. It does get
cold here in Missouri but that is the reason I had their pond dug in
the first place. They were growing in a small pond (125 gallons) and in
whiskey barrels. I knew they would freeze in our hard winters so I had
the lotus pond dug.
