New Tank Still Struggling??
"Nikki" wrote in message ... You know thats funny, I keep my heat on 80 easy, sometimes higher.... but if i dont have a heater in my betta tank which is not a lot of water like the bigger tanks it drops down to 72-75 quickly. You're thermostat may be off. Many are after a few years. Or you may have the betta tanks in a slight draft. Right now this room is 76F and so are the betta tanks behind me on the bar. I removed them from the windowsill a few months ago. I have one tank in my living room close to a heater (forced air) and now that tank will stay steady 78, but i dont like depending on that to much. When I had tropicals I always had heaters even though I probably didn't need them. -- Koi-Lo.... frugal ponding since 1995...
