"Lilly" wrote in message om... Excuse me, but clearly you have NOT been comprehending OUR election process. If you were paying as much attention to the actual results (48% for John Kerry, 51% for George Bush) instead of ranting in an inappropriate forum, you would realize that GWB didn't win by much. To make this even easier for your simple mind to understand, that means nearly 1 out of 2 people voted AGAINST George Bush. And *more* than 1 out of 2 people voted AGAINST Kerry. Your point, idiot? |
My point was to show that not *everyone* went GWB's way. Personally, I
could give a rat's ass one way or the other, they're both loosers. lilly "luminos" wrote in message ... And *more* than 1 out of 2 people voted AGAINST Kerry. Your point, idiot? |
221 million Americans were eligible to vote, but only 115 million did vote.
Effectively, "None of the above" got 48% of all potential votes, Bush got 26.5% , and Kerry got 24.9% . That shows that most Americans don't really care. Like me. So could we get back to talking about aquariums, please? |

Interested eligible voters seems much safer. Why have someone voting on ecological issues that hasn't any knowledge on the subject, let alone economics or war? At least in these groups we are offering our experienced opinions. No one is forced to live by our opinions. I think women should have the abortion option, but I sure would not want to vote that all women should be forced to have abortions if the fetus did not seem to be healthy. dick |

But what does this have to do with aquariums? Please notice the names of the groups this thread is cross-posted to. What is political about rec.aquaria... ? Limnophile |

Yep, plant politics Regards, Tom Barr or, perhaps "Planted politics" so much terrorism these days! dick I would think Planted politics implies that one plants politics in one's aquarium(eg a sign saying "Vote Quinby!" in your tank) or where there was once no politics, now there is. Plant politics is the politics of plants (eg The vals took over the tank) Subtle........ but different politcal issues. The Plantagone, a leaf shaped federal building in DC, is still developing the much feared "plant bomb". Unlike Nukes, it keeps spreading/growing and engulfs the enemy and is self replicating. Unlike chemical warfare, this stays there for 1000's of years or longer. We normally call these things Noxious weeds, like Hydrilla. Regards, Tom Barr |
