cleaning the pond
I have a 1000 gallon pond. I would like to clean the silt from the bottom
without draining the water. Any advice is appreciated. Frankie |
cleaning the pond
I never had luck with vac or water hose with bags.
I set up the kiddy pond transfer water catch the fish as I pump out the water. Clean and flush and scoop. Refill and count the fish on the way back It takes a fire truck and 3/4 of a day. We make a yearly family event. "frankie" wrote in message nk.net... I have a 1000 gallon pond. I would like to clean the silt from the bottom without draining the water. Any advice is appreciated. I use a swimming pool vacuum with my filter pump to clean my ponds. I think
it works very well. You can see it here http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondpage4.html. The leaf basket is from Aquatic Eco, as is the hose. The vac head is from an old vacuum for the house. -- RichToyBox http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondintro.html "frankie" wrote in message nk.net... I have a 1000 gallon pond. cleaning the pond
I'm in the process of building one. Just waiting for the long hose to
arrive. I got tired of messing with the shop vacs and the koi clay clogging the 'pump out' feature. Thanks for the instructions, RichToyBox! Really anxious to try it out. deanna RichToyBox wrote: I use a swimming pool vacuum with my filter pump to clean my ponds. I think it works very well.
