koi questions

just got a new batch of 3-4" koi , and they are in a 75 gal.indoor aquarium
tank.
all water parameters are just 'ducky'
salt is at 1.7 , I am going to raise it up a notch or 2.

now. most of them are swimming along quite fine, but there are 3 of them
that are 'mostly' sitting/laying on the bottom they get up every now & then
to swim around..& they have grabbed some food ........ then sloowwwwly sink.
hmmmmm any ideas??

I looked up what I could find, and most relates to water stuff.. like
nitrites,, which is '0'

are they just getting over the shipping ( flown in from out of state).???

koi questions

If they're new, they may be getting used the different water. Even if you
can duplicate *exactly* what they came from, the "taste" of the water will
be different: there will be different minerals (or lack thereof), etc. Some
fish get over it quicker than others. Think of it in terms of "jet lag":
some folks don't get bothered, and others take days to get over it.

How long has this been going on? If it's only a few days, give them a chance
to adjust. If it's over a week, then other things should be considered.
